‘PURE FORM' JEWELLERY COLLECTIVE POPS UP IN IBIZA

A new collective of five female jewellers from the island get ready to officially launch PURE FORM with the first of their summer pop-up boutiques in Atzaro on 1st July.
A total of four pop-ups are planned for the coming months, with handmade creations inspired by the shapes and colours of Ibiza's natural habitat and prices ranging from 60-6000€

Ibiza, June 2010 (FIX Ibiza).- Five female jewellers, four opportunities to see exactly what it is that they do. Natasha Collis, Shakti Ellenwood, Kerstin Howard, Cyd Hutton and Sia Taylor, all residents on the island of Ibiza, are the women in question who have joined forces to form the fine jewellery collective, PURE FORM.

Sharing the same sense of creative sensibility and artistic vision, the fine jewellers, all resident on the island, have formed the collective as a way of sharing that same vision, showcasing their designs through a total of four Pop Up Boutiques to be held at a variety of locations across the island throughout the summer months.

Amongst the first to bring the concept of Pop Up to the island, the PURE FORM collective kick off on Thursday 1st July at Atzaro with all four Pop Up Boutiques aimed towards those with a fine eye for a very fine jewel. The remaining events are confirmed to take place at El Hotel de Pacha, El Chiringuito de Es Cavallet and the Natasha Collis Shop in San Miguel.

Since forming the collective, its members have been inundated with requests for private viewings and sales on the island. The Pure Form designers also sell their work worldwide in exclusive stores including London's Dover Street Market and the emblematic fashion emporium that is Browns, and have built up an enviable client list that includes the likes of Chrissie Hynde, Kate Moss, Jack Nicholson, Alexandra Shulman, Sadie Frost, Marisa Tomei and Ruby Wax.

And those aren't the only well known names you'll hear in the same sentence as Pure Form with the collective's plan to introduce a number of other internationally renowned jewellers on site at the Pop Ups as guest designers. From Monsoon's Zara Simon to Spain's own Txe Aymat, it's a veritable A-Z of fine jewellers!

Pure Luxury

With each of the five members of the Pure Form jewellery collective living and working in Ibiza, it comes as no surprise to learn that as a general rule, Collis, Ellenwood, Howard, Hutton and Taylor draw their inspiration from the backdrop they're blessed with. Nature in all its splendour gives rise to a collection of not only stunning but also extremely wearable fine jewellery pieces. The high standard of craftsmanship in each jeweller's work is more than obvious; materials include shimmering golds, forged hand-beaten silver, brightly hued precious gems and sparkling diamonds.

With prices starting at 60€ up to 6000€, there is something for everyone, from the ultra dainty to the mega statement piece.

The Pure Form Pop Up Boutiques promise a glistening show of contemporary fine jewellery.... pure luxury, pure extravagance...PURE FORM !

When, Where &What..

The first Pure Form Pop Up boutique takes place in Atzaró, Sant Llorenç, on the 1st July, at 8pm.

Next up, catch them at El Chiringuito, Es Cavellet on 31st July from 4pm.

Shakti's inspiration comes from many years living in the Far East, the natural beauty of Ibiza, ancient civilizations and colour in nature.

She was brought up in Ibiza in the early 60's and returned to live on the island in 2005. The inspirations for her latest works stem from the ebb and flow of the sea and the patterns inscribed on the sandy beaches, rock outcrops and dunes, together with the gnarled forms of the ancient olive and indigenous pine trees.

URBAN IN IBIZA
Art Music Fashion

Thursday 12th August
(EXPO: 11th-16th August)
From 20.00hrs in
ATZARÓ

August 2010 (FIX Ibiza)
. After the phenomenal success of the inaugural URBAN IN IBIZA extravaganza in September of 2009, it was obvious that the organisers of said event were on to something not just innovative on the island of dance but revolutionary. The decision to take the concept to the next level in 2010 has been applauded by fans of urban lifestyle both in Ibiza and the U.K, who wait with baited breath for the unveiling of this year's event.

Last year's event was something of an historical moment- on an island famed for its affinity with dance music, Urban in Ibiza proved that there definitely was, and is, a place for urban art, music and street style in the heart of Ibiza. And so it is then, that the island's cosmopolitan crowd, its urban music aficionados and its art collectors are set to reunite en masse for this, the second installment of URBAN IN IBIZA.

Set in the grounds of the spectacular rural hotel, ATZARO, in the north of Ibiza , the annual event will once again bring together their stable of urban artists, all ready and williing to transform the idyllic location of the 5 Star location into a 3 dimensional Graffiti extravaganza combined with a live music line-up and and fashion show that promises to top all expectations.

Urban in Ibiza Promoter PAUL DIZZI SAUNDERS and the event's curator, INKIE, have, as per last year, hand picked each and every one of the featured artists whose work will be on show at the venue before, during and after the main event on August 12th. An award winning urban artist, INKIE's passion, knowledge and experience serves to bring together a band of urban artists rarely seen in the same space, for one night only.

Headling the 2010 event is all round shape shifter and talent meister GOLDIE, a man who hardly needs an introduction- the iconic drum and bass pioneer, DJ, recording artist and actor, the man who launched the MetalHeadz movement and singlehandedly changed the face of Urban music as we know it, and who more recently has become a stalwart of urban art with his work continuosly sitting alongside that of internationally reowned Banksy. So in demand is he that his recent artistic donation to charity, at the Old Vics Gala Dinner in July of this year, raised an astounding £15, 000. Amongst other pieces to be shown at Urban in Ibiza, exclusive prints from his Wonderland collection, as commissioned by its main man, Pete Tong, as well as other one off pieces.

Add to that the long list of other artists involved- K-Guy, Dan Baldwin, Jamie Reid, Fin Dac, Ben Allen, Shoe, Chu, George Morton Clark, Liliwenn, David Walker, Schoony, Static, Busk One, Agent Provocateur and Don, and it becomes pretty obvious to those who know their stuff that this is an event not to be missed.

Keeping with the Urban in Ibiza philosophy, the event at Atzaro will once again incorporate creating live art installations and on the spot spray fests, with canvas, cars and caravans just some of the surfaces to be transformed. As far as this live and direct art exhibitions go, be prepared to witness INKIE, SHU AND SHOE in action as well as vanguard sculptor ZEUS, whose most recent work, entitled ‘Love' was a main feature at Glastonbury's ‘Love Bullets Love Garden'.

Due to its reputation of raisIng the bar in so many different directions, this year's Urban in Ibiza will also serve as a platform to launch the latest fashion collections of not only island darling and international It Girl Sasha Moon but also sassy London lingerie designers DIRTY PRETTY THINGS.
As far as the soundtrack to the evening is concerned, get set for a cocophony of artists and DJs including LUCA C and ALI LOVE, London's hottest duo who have been smashing the European festival scene all summer long, Mr Love the voice behind manys a track including the floor filler ‘Do it Again' by the Chemical Brothers.

On the night of the event, there will also be a live and direct performance from DOGZ OR GODZ (D.O.G), see below for more info on them!

The-Art!
The collective of more than 20 artists will be exhibited their art at Atzaro Hotel from the 11th til 16th of August, offering collectors the opportunity to purchase their desired pieces. On the night itself, expect a multitude of the Urban in Ibiza artists to be on site, and don't mis the live spray by Inkie, Shu, Shoe and sculptor Zeus. It really is set to be a graffiti fest of the highest degree!

The-Music!
LUCA'S unique 110bpm down right dirty disco-tech brings the freshest of styles, whilst ALI LOVE will mesmerise you with his distinctive vocals. These guys are quite possibly London's hottest duo and have been smashing festivals and Ibiza shows all summer; releases for LUCA are imminent on FAT BOY SLIM's Southern Fried Records, whilst Ali'S forthcoming projects are soon to be released on BACK YARD recordings.

Rockin a Live sound clash will be unsigned Urban act DOGZ or GODZ, West London sweethearts whose fans are comprised of the who's who of the music business. Their current project sees them collaborating with THE PRODIGY'S LIAM HOWLETT, whilst vocalist KG has been responsible for producing some of the UK's biggest hit records.

As far as local talent is concerned, DJ SAMIR and DJ UNIQUE will be getting in behind the decks and on top of all that, get ready for an exclusive performance by one of the U.K's best upcoming act, DANSETTE JUNIOR.

The-Fashion!
Taking centre stage on the cat walk will be London's most sassy Lingerie designers DIRTY PRETTY THINGS, whose collections of stunning fabrics and statement underwear sees a collaboration with Goldie continue the URBAN ART theme! The ladies behind the label, Dee Murren and Claire Merry are bringing their collection to the island for the first time. Models will also be doused in delectable LOVE BULLET, a series of designer jewellery made from reclaimed shells from war torn countries. This amazing jewellery will be for sale on the night. With each bullet purchased a donation will go to the outstanding charity WAR CHILD.

And that's not all! Ibiza's own darling, SASHA MOON will also be getting her girls on the catwalk for an exclusive peek at her new collection, so hang onto your handbags for that.
