As an aside/extra topic r.e. global warming/hurricanes

Dont post this up Nath, they'll have to start a whole new argument/points of view and their other efforts would have been wasted

If you don't mind I would make a very short comment withour reading those 17 pages of technic english ;)

Global warming may not cause hurricanes but it causes a lot more of natural disasters that I'm sure will be more and more terrible further in the time.

We had a similar discussion when the Kioto Pact, and I'm a stronly beliver that a cleaner world would mean a longer life for our highly damaged world ;)

I forgot something: we can keep playing but being clean to leave a decent world to next generations, something that previous ones never considered ;)

After studying hurricanes/storms over the last century or two and considering many different factors they have concluded that global warming hasn't made them more frequent or servere.

Ok.
My professor in geography doesn't even admit there is such a thing as global warming.

A couple of centuries is such a short time in the life of the earth, that it's difficult to draw any conclusions from it. Maybe it's global warming caused by human action, or maybe it's just normal climate fluctuations.

the technology is there. just "costs" too much to have it put to everday use.

the only time anything is going to be done is when we run out of Oil.

Very true! All the actions taken to stop the "global warming" are pro-environment and therefore beneficial :)

(though perhaps slightly older than the average for Russian males 8O )
