Artists to Watch (IBIZA 2012)

Thought this could be a fun thread to see who everyone is looking forward to seeing this year in Ibiza.

So who do you want to see this season? Any tips on up and coming DJ's that people should catch?

The acts im looking forward to seeing this year are Adam Beyer ,Ben Klock,Sandwell District (Live),Solomun, Prydz,Modeselektor (Live) & Paul Ritch (Live).


As you can see that's a total mixed bag of styles but i think that's what Ibiza is about, not just limiting yourself to just one style of music or party.

am only there for a few days this year, so choice of acts is a bit limited.....

looking forward very much to catching Carl Craig and Voorn in the discotecca at We Love. Ralph Lawson too on the terrace - one of my all time fav DJ's.

then - am sure DC10 will have something of interest...Cassy would be great...
 
Voorn, , Foamo, Funkagenda, Matador, Steve Lawler.

Seen all of them before with the exception of Matador but they are the ones I'm looking forward to watching the most.
 
Derrick May, Sandwell District (Live) and Slam in the Discoteca @ We Love.

Solomun & Tensnake @ Defected if we make it in time.

Sounds like a plan Dave :) We don't land until 9 on the Sat night, so depending on how quick we get through the airport and to the hotel, Sankeys may be a better shout.
 
Martinez Brothers at DC10 on the 27.08.12, I have heard good things about them plus taken a quick look on Youtube... Never seen them play believe it or not, plus this will only be my 2nd trip to DC10 ever as I so far haven't been. 8):D

Martinez Brothers are playing Creche at Ministry 26/8/12...I'll be there. And they're fkn amazing.

In Ibiza, I'm most looking forward to H.O.S.H and Adriatique on the 7th Aug at Sankeys.
 
MaRLo and Sean Tyas have both wowed me this year.

MaRLo especially, he's come out of nowhere in the last year or so.
 
Looking forward to checking wAFF out at the hot creations label night at dc10 on september 6th. His release on hot creations is DOPE plus his unsigned stuff on soundcloud is worth a check too.

Also Benoit & Sergio live act at Sankeys on 8th september should be interesting. Loved nearly every track they've put out, not too keen on live "performances" but this boys seem like proper musical artists rather than dj's who have converted to a live set up so should be good.
 
Is it weird that I am not really going to Ibiza for the music? I don't really like any of the artists there. I'm more into American underground hip hop and none of those artists will be there. Tbh I don't really mind who I see. Maybe just some DJ/dubstep sort of music because generally the atmosphere is good when that is playing as everyone loves it and it is loud, danceable, fun and an opportunity to go CRAAAAAAAAAAAZZY!

Ibiza is all about the dance music, with what you like its best off to head to Ayia Napa - Cyprus

wAFF is an amazing dj pal ! ive seen him twice, one at digital in newcastle he was on before tale of us and art department, what a night that was .. and the other time believe it or not was last night haha he was on before lee foss at the arena in middlesbrough where im from and he killed it

ive never been to dc10 or sankeys before so im itching to check them out this in august whilst im there, miguel campbell is on the thursday im there and ive heard good things about him so i think i'll be hitting that amongst other nights what my friends want to go to
 
Ben Klock along with marcel dettman are really good! they play dark techno with vocals...but they let off the dark stuff and enter into a more deep sounds. Good duo in my opinion. Ben Klock by himself I have not seen so I am not sure how he is but I saw him with Marcel D.
They were fantastic. wow....as you brits say. Class!
 
Klock and Dettmann back to back is just something else! I've seen Klock twice on his own and he's been just as brilliant! I'm looking forward to Dettmann this year in Ibiza, Vath, hawtin Magda, cassy, maya Jane Coles, josh wink! Sure there's a few more in there! Anticipating the DC10 line up for when I'm there 2nd & 9th sept......this time last year Carl Cox done a 4 hour set! Awesome.
 
I was looking forward to seeing eddie at amnesia in sept, but not so sure now? the hard house/trance style has gone right out the window and the same with jules?
