honestly mate, I know about the issues AOD had and I know they have a loyal following, but I can only repeat, there is so much going on every day of the week it's really hard for everyone this summer.

I hear you Stivi but having spoken with them extensively throughout their difficulties and made a number of suggestions the underlying thing is that there's basically no overlap between their core following / philosophy and the parties above. They also didn't go for JAG as it was too fancy.

Definitely not either of the Ushuaia venues, definitely not bora bora, definitely not ocean beach. In many cases not zoo either. So all that's happened is that Ibiza promoters have have closed out a niche event which was there for people who most likely wouldn't go to any of the above. It's not like it's the first time and it won't be the last but this isn't down to there being too many parties on a Saturday. Sirocco isn't a thousand-capacity venue and even their London parties are limited numbers and on the whole member-only. So seeing them as a threat is pretty daft.

to be very honest, if I was a promoter, I'd be very careful about doing ANY event on the island this year. i've said it various times before and it's been written elsewhere too, the market is completely oversaturated this summer. there is simply too much on offer.
