Arsenal and Spurs

expect the police to arrest a west ham supporter working in the kitchens of the Marriot Hotel, Canary Wharf any day now.

What a farce pmsl  Someone from West Ham has got to be involved. Jon went to the match yesterday but I've been assured he was nowhere near the Marriott hotel 8O

Pah. We choked.

I'm naturally gutted, though we've been here before.

Tomorrow is another day, and all that.

news just in.

police have aparently just arrested a chef from the hotel!

:p :p :p

I guess - Tony Adams, in the kitchen with the bleach.

Fantastic result and takes a bit of the pressure off for the big one in Paris.

Spurs are forever blowing bubbles!

First time in 14 years the bragging rights could (just about) have passed back to our north London neighbours...such a shame for Tott-en-ham.

Nice one you Hammers. 8)

what a load of bollocks.

wouldnt suprise me if it was a gooner.

still, we're in Europe qualifying through our league position for the 1st time since 83, and at least the team showed guts to go out and play and gave it their all.

we could have kicked up a big stink about it by refusing to play.

Ticket for West Ham V Spurs, 40 Quid. Return ticket from Leyton, 3 Quid. Match day program, 3 Quid. Beers down the pub after game, 20 Quid. Watching Spurs fans in tears as they hear the Arsenal result…Priceless

Watched both games at the sports bar yesterday with a Spurs fan friend from N. London. He was gutted, as you'd expect.

On the brightside, I'd put money on Spurs for the UEFA Cup.

Edit: watching Sky... says Tottenham might sue the hotel. (someone get out a calculator and figure out the difference in appearance fees between the UEFA CL and Cup )

As a neutral, i think Spurs are very right to complain.
The game couldve been played today or tomorrow (along with the Arsenal game). I cant believe such a big game with millions of pounds riding on it was played in such circumstnaces.

If it was Chelsea or Man Utd they wouldve postponed the game.

Na, they wouldn't have postponed it for Chelsea. They would have made them play and then told Mourinho to stop his whining. :?

The problem here was West Ham's FA Cup final. The Hammers didn't want to go into it with less recovery time than Liverpool, and FIFA rules wouldn't let them reschedule the match for after May 15.

Spurs are still very right to complain though.

About 10 Tottenham players had suspected food poisoning before their game with West Ham. They were all staying in the Marriott hotel at Canary Wharf.

By losing the game (and Arsenal winning), Tottenham finished the season in 5th place and misses out on the Champions League, despite being in 4th place most of the season.
