Armin Van Buuren and Roger Sanchez to move to Space?

Could armin be doing what tiesto did with bringing his live show to privilege.cos armin has his armin only and mirage thing
 
My guess is that they will join the Come Together roster like Monza and Meganite did last year. Mondays have always seemed to be a tough night at Space what with it following We Love and with the competition it would feel like a strange move.

I think that could work for Sanchez, though not sure it could be every week. If it is the case (and no idea if it is), I think they need to be careful that Come Together does not become a graveyard for DJs that can no longer sell a night out on their own....

That could be likely, if this is to be true. Armin could probably get the same numbers as Tiesto... maybe. Tiesto has a much broader playing style now a days than Armin does, and appeals to a much larger crowd.

Never been, but from what I heard last year - that were nights when Roger failed to make it through the whole night for lack of numbers on the Amnesia Terrace...

Unsurprising really, having just himself play all night every week for the whole season.

Can speak for September : it's never jam packed in the main room for Armada nights either throughout the month...

I would be surprised tho with a move to Space considering they've been away from trance for so long...
But at the same time, i'm not sure Armin could fill up Privilege for the whole season either bearing in mind the aforementioned

Maybe it's time to realize neither Armin nor Sanchez are big enough to hold their own residencies at such large venues???

isn't that the whole idea of come together. Btw I we're talking more a set.... Not them for the whole night! Mix the old with the new.....
 
we checked out this party too last Sept.... it was Markus headlining the main room and Roger and Chris Moody in the terrace. the main room got pretty busy but not ridiculous packed like for Cocoon... which was fine with us. Roger's room i didn't approach getting full per my recollection.

I'd say sharing Wednesday nights with Be, Armada inside and Wally Lopez & Co on the Terrace.
 
I remember going too hear Sanchez play at Pacha on a Monday night a few years ago and it was boring hearing him for 6 or 7 hours.

I think this is his downfall, he should just play for 2 or 3 hours and then bring in some guest djs to do the other slots.

I think he's been in a DJing slump of late.

Back 8 or 9 years ago, those 8-hour sets were massive. It was always a great musical journey (to use that cliched term in its original true meaning). Some amazing nights were had in El Divino and Pacha. You went through a variety of sounds but it all meshed together.

Agreed mate, had some great nights with Sanchez in the past.

Morillo went the same way imo.

but it would still seem extremely weird to have not trance, but Armin's style of trance @Space

i doubt this seriously...Armada is all about quantity and pushing their own "artists" as much as possible.
Altho not impossible, i'd be very surprised if they were willing to scale down and have Armin only be a part of a night...in which some non-Armada DJs were showcased
 
Armada wouldn't share it's night. And it's branding is pretty good, but the line ups at Amnesia last year left a lot to be desired for, I don't want to see Schulz doing an 8 hour set.

Personally, I tend to go to Armada nights to see the other guys who is playing. Tis why I'm hitting ASOT 500, I'd far rather see Arnej and Aly & Fila play than Armin or Schulz.

Maybe Sanchez will end up playing come together, and Armada possibly go to Privilege?
I mean, if they can sell out all their Armin Only and ASOT gigs ever year, why couldn't they fill Priv (well, as much as tiesto does) for the season?
 
Just a reminder here :

Last year, the Armada brand wasn't in Ibiza... It was only Armin Van Buuren under the name Tuesdays at Amnesia.
