Absolutely brilliant night on Saturday, one of the best events I've been to. Armin rocked it, there were a few live performances, similar to the Tiesto in concert dvd that were a little cheesy, but apart from that, it was all good.
Armin played for 7 hours and I don't think one person there left early, it was as packed when he came on as when it ended. Armin played some gems from the last few years, as well as all the top tunes doing the rounds now, and some cracker's I've never heard before.
The soundsystem was really loud, but crystal clear, so we really got the full whack from every tune. There were three lasers, one coming from behind Armin and one either side, they reflected of stansions on the roof, to reflect down on to the crowd, brilliant! There were also these flame thrower things shooting fire into the air in between the lasers. Armin played from a dj box on a ship, it was a similar stage to the one at Dance Valley.
The crowd there were nothing like you'd see at a rave over here, all much older, and I mean really older, aul ones and aul fellas about 50 going around mad out of it, a bit freaky at times, especially at the end when the house lights came on!
Overall well worth all the hassle of getting there and back, I hope there's another one soon.
