Almost half way through the Ibiza season and the Armada bandwagon continues to roll full steam ahead! We’ve already seen some of the biggest names in dance music take the helm at Amnesia on the White Isle, wowing crowds with their sensational battery of tracks: the world’s number 1 DJ Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Marco V, Hernan Cattaneo, ATB, Gareth Emery AND Benni Bennasi are just a few of the A-listers you’ve seen and heard so far.

This week is no different – Armada ARE pulling out all the stops! Headlining the main room ONCE AGAIN is Armin Van Buuren, joined by man of the moment Markus Schulz. Italian electronic Superstar Benny Benassi guarantees to provide ‘satisfaction’ with dutch don Matthew Dekay completing the line up at the nucleus of Amnesia.

The ‘Contact’ terrace continues to offer an alternative to the main floor and this week sees the massive Tocadisco take centre stage. The German wizard showcases his undeniable talent being joined in the booth by Uber-hot German-based DJ Kurd Maverick - never one to stand still, an ideal DJ to provide an electrifying partnership on the terrace. Super Yank Tony Varga completes the bill for what will be a spectacular showcase!

Armada @ Amnesia 29th July!

It’s one of the hottest tickets in town! The White Isle is rocking to the sounds of Armada at Amnesia every Tuesday, and this week we raised the bar even higher. A phenomenal, flawless Markus Schulz was followed by world number 1 DJ Armin van Buuren, wowing clubbers with his deeper set. Tracks like ‘Soultech’ by Simon & Shaker, the Alex Morph remix of ‘The Legacy 2.0’ and classic ‘Netherworld’ rained down from the sound system onto the dance floor below. “It keeps getting better and better every year and this night was no exception,” Armin said, Can it get any better?

With Marco V behind the helm we think so. The man who is one of the biggest legends in the dance world; the man who has rocked every single major festival and venue on the face the of the planet during his career; the man who is currently sitting on top of the trance charts thanks to his massive collaboration with Sander van Doorn, ‘Organic’ – this is the man who we can guarantee will leave you breathless by the time he is finished! 2008 has been one of the best years for Marco and with Amnesia being one of his favourite places to play, it’s one performance you don’t want to miss!
Joining Marco are trance titans Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz, while New Orleans breakthrough Blake Jarrell completes the bill - a fresh figure continuing to prove his talent amongst dance music’s elite DJ’s and producers.

On the Terrace, it’s the illustrious Toolroom tribe, with man of the moment Mark Knight taking centre stage. The ever so enthusiastic Martijn ten Velden joins in with the proceedings to add a deep and twisted edge to the terrace ‘Knight’ while Dutch DMC champion Erick E, now firmly established for his House groove, add to the energy. Bass heavy house head Richard Dinsdale completes the Toolroom alliance for what will surely be a funk filled fixture!

7 Down 7 To Go - Armada Amnesia

SEVEN DOWN, SEVEN TO GO…

…and the best is yet to come! Armada @ Amnesia has already dropped some of the biggest sets on the Island this year and with the second half of the season just around the corner, we’re cranking up the tension and going hell for leather. Ibiza – prepare yourself!

Last week, Amnesia’s mighty main room played host a true international superstar DJ, Marco V. Headlining along with the rest of the Armada regulars, he ripped it up and almost destroyed the sound system in the process! By the time he was through with the thousands who crammed in to see him, we’re surprised that there was still a club standing!

Mark Knight took control of the Terrace, and once again proved why he’s such a hit with lovers of all things house. Martijn Ten Velden, Erick E and Richard Dinsdale joined the Toolroom head honcho, each one smashing it in succession.

Joining us this Tuesday is a very special guest indeed – Rank 1 LIVE. If you thought last week was amazing – and you’d be right! – then wait until you get a load of this! This is the whole works – the guys behind Airwave, Such Is Life and Awakening have got to be seen to be believed – but you’ll walk out a complete convert! Their live sets have taken the world by storm and we’re both privileged and quivering with excitement to have them with us!

He’s that good, Mark Knight returns for the second week in a row. This time Laidback Luke and Tocadisco will be turning up the temperature on the Terrace, so make sure you get your place on what’s sure to be a packed-out dance floor!

Armada This Week + Competition - Armin All Night Long @ Amnesia

This is the BIG ONE!

Having passed the half way mark two weeks ago, it’s full throttle now at Armada & Contact in Ibiza as we put both feet to the pedal and then some! Tuesday 12th August sees the world’s number 1 DJ all on his lonesome as he orchestrates the entire night. That’s 8 hours of Armin Van Buuren! No stranger to playing all night long, Armin is the master of this trade with no less than 6 Armin Onlys’ under his belt. This isn’t an Armin Only event as despite Amnesia being able to hold a massive 10,000 people, it’s still too small! Nevertheless, Armin promises to deliver a soundtrack that equates to an epic journey through trance and so much more.

Not that you’d need one, but if you do feel like taking a break from the madness in the main room, or if thunderous house is your thing, then over at the Terrace the Toolroom heavyweights are moving in for another week! Mark Knight, the legendary Seb Fontaine, super producer Matthew Dekay, Kurd Maverick and Brian Cross will be fired up to bring you the very best in dirty tribal Balearic bliss.
