are u a shop-aholic? and what do u spend on?

I spend around 200 pounds on myself a month (excluding clubbing, drinks, food ect) this is only clothes.... and makeup....
how much do u spend and on what?
 
I spend almost all my wages on clothes a month - i'd say about £700 which is crazy :cry:

I'm really trying to cut down but I think i'm addicted to shopping. :cry: :oops:
 
don't want to know, because I am a makeupaholic, When I go to the Corteingles I have to avoid the makeup section because I allways find something I haven't got, and then I buy it. I say to myself I won't buy it, but then they try it in my face and I allways endup buying...
 
I wouldn't have a clue what I spend a month, I just shop all the time - clothes, make-up, accessories, CDs, books. I always spend a good couple of hours round the shops on Saturday, normally a couple of lunchtimes and once or twice a week after work. I just love shopping :D :lol:

I'm also terrible for shopping online, Monday night we were sat there and by the time I'd ordered tickets for Chemicals, tickets for Gatecrasher, DVDs for Tom, some stuff from hqhair.com for me and a Christmas present for a friend I'd spent £200 without leaving our front room :lol:
 
pay off credit card, then the rest pretty much goes on going out and perhaps a few clothes. Would love to have more to spend on clothes, hating my wardrobe at the moment...

need to sort finances and spend less on going out and stuff, at the moment barely making it through to the end of the month despite the fact that I seemed to manage when I was a student.. although didn't head to london as much then or to such big nights.

You're not kiddin' :roll:

She has more clothes/boots/shoes than any modern day diva and she ABSOLUTELY CANNOT wear the same thing twice if we're going out.

You know, it's not so much the clothes and shoes. She's generally good about paying for those types of things out of the budget I give her, and I'll buy something on special occasions.

It's all the little niggling stuff she bugs me for money for. It really adds up :? Cuts into my beer and electronic gadget budgets :lol:

Uh oh... I should have kept my mouth shut... I can see this conversation is going to all go horribly wrong :?

The answer is no. We just have monthly budgets, that's all. Sometimes those budgets need to be increased.... and sometimes I can't quite understand why :?

I know what you mean. What makes it worse is one of her days off is a weekday i.e. when i'm not there to take control.

She tends to spend little and often where as i'll go a while then make big purchases.

We earn our own money and put it together. I earn a lot more than her so it's like she's spending my money :evil:

No, being serious, i'm not tight with it at all. I just tell her to calm it down a bit if i feel we're spending too much.

That would be heaven... at least her income frees you up to spend more of your own ;)

My missus hasn't worked in ages so it always feels like she's spending my money. I know, in general, that's wrong (what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine, love, marriage, horse, carriage, etc.) but I can't help it.
 
With us it's not such a case of telling her what she can and cannot spend.

It is usually she who's says "can we afford this?" simply because she's not so good with finances and budget (despite being a shop manager :roll: ) so tends to worry more than she should.

She asked me because i more or less know what money we have at any one time.

It's not a dictatory relationship at all.
 
I love shopping, clothes, electronic gadges, design items specially for the house and books and cd's

but


the one who is addicted to shopping and the one who has very expensive taste is Pep, so usually I'm the one in charge to stop him and remember him that if we buy that Philip Starck alarm watch with weather station and I don't know what else, we won't be able to go on holidays or whatever.

I confess, tho, that we live in a permanent state of "war economy" but we have so many clothes, shoes, boots, trainers, cd's, books and gadgets that we should live in that war economy for years wihout problem :lol: :lol:

Tom gives me my housekeeping once a month and goes 'spend it wisely cos there's no more where that's come from for you to waste' :lol:
