Are Eden & Es Paradis ful of Chavs?

Hi all,
I've been 3 times to Ibiza and love Pacha, Space & El Divino. I had a ball at Meganite last year too. I've never been to Eden or Es Paradis & worry they might be a bit chav - is this true? My ideal club crowd is prob Space - not as poncy as Pacha IMO.

What do you thimk???

i agree with u mate, my perfect crowd is also space and dc10 also, cant fault it....im not to keen on pacha and dont think i will go there again, big fuss over nothin imo.

i also wont go to eden or es paradis again...the only reason bein i think there are better nights elsewhere..

as for chavs, yea u will get them at them 2 clubs, i didnt really find it a problem (sayin that, i suppose the atmosphere was lackin) , the worse thing for me was the actual music, and also the sound system damaging my ears.

my fave for clubbing is dc10, space, underground and also like amnesia....hoping to go to meganite this year too as i hav not been to that night yet...

of coarse these are just my opinions and not all people will agree...the main thing is that u go there and enjoy yourself whatever happens :)
 
I went to Eden first and did think it was a bit chavvy and it didnt compare to any of the others there, they all just got better and better as the days went on. Eden was prob the worse one I went to.
 
yeah i would say there's not even much point in checking eden or es paradis out, as there are much better nights elsewhere, and yeah you do get quite alot of 'Chavs' in there.lol..I went to Eden Once bout 3 years ago and have never been back since..

Space Dc10 etc are all much better nights as KJ said..

Hmmm this confirms my suspicions somewhat... shame as Es Paradis looks like an amazing venue - if only it was on the right side of the island.

BTW Emma you are really fit!
 
Es Paradis gets an unfair press IMO. Its a beautiful club.
Admittedly there are better nights across the island, so its rarely the first choice of discerning clubbers. But its still worth seeing, especially if you visit early in the season before the big ibiza town clubs are up and running.

Whats the general music in Es Paradis? I remember seeing posters up for DJ Sammy being there. And the foam party type of nights.

In my opinion Es paradis isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. I think everybody should go at least once. Eden on the other hand IMO is another story. The funky house they were playing when I was there was bad.
 
i would say that eden/es paradis will always have their proportion of idiots (not really chavs but that description will do) due to the proximity of the west end and downtown san an.

however, if you go on a decent night, like dusted, garlands, then i reckon you could have a good night, especially after about 3-4am when any "chav" types will have gone home.

es paradis is a spectacular venue that has to be seen to be believed. a beautiful beautiful venue, but perhaps almost too beautiful to be a club.

its hard to imagine these days with the pathetic nights it has on, but once upon a time the likes of sasha, oakenfold, morillo, david morales all used to grace the decks in es paradis.........i reckon those days are gone for good tho now.

garlands (the ibiza version) started in the back room of eden in 2001 on tuesdays/retro night......and was legendary!!8) :D

since then they have done all sorts of one off daytime/night parties at various locations like Bahia and Pin-up. i think the pirates thing was just last years theme.

Es Paradis spent a good amount of effort on design, which you don't see in a lot of places these days. However, it's just far too bright in there with all that white!

Disagree a bit on the timing/arrival issue. When the missus and I were there for Fronty's Ibiza debut last summer, the place was just filling up with 'that element' around 3-4. Thankfully, Fronty had finished by then and we were saving energy for other events, so we bailed out around that time.

If I remember rightly I think it was a Weds last year, I saw them in Bar M, one being a g@y guy who thought it funny to ping my bra strap open :p

The central part of the dancefloor is a round area about a meter lower than the rest of the main floor. While I've never been to it, I guess this is the area they fill with water for their Fiesta de Agua. If that counts as a swimming pool, then the answer is yes.
 
Yeah thats it, nobody I ask refers to it as a pool but that it fills up with water. Its not that great from what I have been told.

Somebody I work with worked out there years ago and said it was one of the best clubs there :roll:
 
the 'pool' is better thought of as an amphitheatre style pit with about 6 or 7 stepped levels (all with people dancing on) and then the water fills from the bottom and gets up 3 or 4 stepped levels.

this is the main focus of the club but the club itself is much larger than this area and in fact, it's like a maze of tropical gardens and patio table and garden chair sets.8O

i think it is easy to have been to es paradis (even for a water party) and for it to blow your mind and feel like the most amazing club in the world.
