Anyone going to the Winter Music Conference in Miami?

I'm going to make it a point to travel to The 305 sometime before I die. Right now I'm a poor student and I can't afford to put gas in my tank some days let alone travel to MIA.
 
Yeah, I'm heading down for a few days. I went last year and I had a great time. It has a very similar feel to Ibiza except all the parties are crammed into 5 days. It's pretty wild. One cool thing is that I'll be meeting a gal from London I met in Ibiza in 2002..

I know it's easy for me to say, but you guys should go!

How much does it cost for you to get there? I reckon from London it would cost about $350 return but not sure

I was in Miami for New Years and had a rather surreal week. Don't think I'll make it back in March though.
The barman at my hotel told me they triple the room rates for that week (the rates were double the week we were there, thanks to New Years and the American football college championship in town that week).
 
For me, the airfare will be roughly $200 USD. James- is it $350 R/T from London? That's not too bad. The rooms in South Beach around that time are at least $250 a night, so I think I'll be staying downtown to save some cash.
 
and $250/night will get you a pretty crap hotel room too... you could probably also stay in northern Miami Beach. Not as convenient to the clubs in So Be and downtown, but at least you'd have the beach to retreat to during afternoon recovery time.
