Anyone going to Space/DC10 opening parties?

very possibly :D its been a long time ain't it.

watch this space as they say.

;)

It would be an emotional and special moment going back to where it all began ;)

Our Easyjet flights were about £90 return flying out on the 18th.

I might be there for the opening Marky - work pressures meaning I have to choose between that and a footy team-mates' stag do in Prague the week before

Ferd, don't fly from Kent airport, we flew there at New Year for Barcelona and it's the worse airport in the world............it's basically at Dover 8O it takes 2 1/2 hours in car/train from London, there isn't a proper bar when you check in, there's even rumours that it might close down cos it just hasn't taken off and isn't attracting enough passengers.

We considered going a while back, but looks like we'll be in Monte Carlo that week.

Amazing how dates always seem to collide

It's not at Dover!! It's 20 miles further than Dover if you're coming from London

Agree it's prob not the best place to fly from if you live in London.

But... how long did it take you to check in Babs? No horrendous queues like Gatwick/Heathrow, no traffic jams around the airport and very unusual for there to be delays!

It's only just started commercial flights too, airports the size of Gatwick don't just arrive overnight!!

It's 5 mins away from my house and we're flying to Ibiza from there in September. No point for us in travelling up to London and the flights are £65 8)

It's basically in France, London Kent Airport my arse

Check-in was quick cos we were early but if we'd been later they only had one check-in desk for the whole airport   And there might have been no traffic jams getting into the airport but what about the bloody traffic jams in the airport cos the carpark was full

And once you've got in it just doesn't feel like an airport, my holiday starts once I've checked in and I buy lots from duty free and then hit the bar.............the corner shop selling 3 types of perfume and caf selling soggy sandwiches just didn't do it for me

But..........if I lived close by like you I'd fly from there ;)

  Apart from you i've never heard it called London Kent Airport! It's called Kent International and most definately is in Kent! They are building another car park at the moment, I drive past the airport each day to get to work.

For years we've had to pay for taxi/minibus or get a lift for the hour and a half journey to gatwick so to say it's a bit welcome is an understatement! I seriously could walk there with my suitcase!! So I can have drinks at home and then be OK til I get to Coastline!! 8)

It did, it said London Kent airport on my ticket confirmation, I'm going to do them cos they should call it Dover airport  ;)

Nah it is perfect if you live round that neck of the woods but all that crap about trying to get Londoners to use it instead of Gatwick etc they can forget about that

I'd agree with you if it was anywhere near Dover!!

All will change when we get our high speed rail link to london, 40 min journey!

Can not wait for that day in 2008! As soon as that happens the for sale sign goes up outside my house and i kerching all the airport  8)

Well it's a damn sight nearer to Dover than it is to London  ;) I even saw the sea when we drove into the airport

Are they really building fast train to London, that means you've got no excuse not to be playing in London Town every wkend then ;)

do i need to find you another map?  there is sea here because we are on the coast, as is Dover!

Yes, the rail link is happening, got the final go ahead a while ago. It's part of the high speed channel tunnel link to london which will come from here. Experts in the field seem to think it's gonna make house prices rise massively.

Would love to be able to go out in FLT all the time but it's a big trek by road, someone always has to stay sober (well, strictly class A's 8O) and drive! It's not gonna be finished until 2008 tho, i may of retired from clubbing by then

It's easier for us to get to ibiza than london!
