anyone from manchester help?

i know im from manchester myself but hav been goin through phases of goin to a lot of the same places in the last year and have been in sheffield alot too. recently hav been goin gay villiage quite alot as think it has some wicked clubs and love the atmosphere there. but its a mates 21st this sat an we would like to go somewhere we not been before for a change but obviously wanna make sure its good night. i like sankeys but would prefer to go somewhere a little more in the centre of town. usually prefer to stay away from peters square area and piccadilly.and would b lookin to go somewhere club open till 4 or later. has anyone been to v at venus? have heard this is a good night but dont know much about it. also a club called emporia opened recently, anyone been? never been to north either and that always sounds good. any suggestions, views etc would b great, cheers. mia

you can certainly suggest that. but now you hav tempted me to suggest to my mate to come to sheffield and it was supposed to be a manc night! im so easily swayed! ill def think about this as hav wanted to go for a while. cheers.

yea would reccommend club V, not been to north but heard good things, but whatever your night turns into stay away from emporium!! a really poor excuse for a club!

straight and to the point. well i have checked a few reviews for 2risque which is what i think it is on sat and there not great. seems it used to be much better.


any more suggestions anyone? does anyone know any decent after club bars? went to breakfast club at mantos last weekend but would like to try somewhere else.

Seriously Angel Deelite on a Friday is soulful and really good - and this weekend they've got a special guest on too..

Venus ona Saturday is happy house and always bouncing, but get there before 11.30 (otherwise it WILL be closed doors) and you'll be on for a good one.

2Risque all nighters on the last Saturday of the month are by far the best night in Manchester and Moneypennies have a monthly residency there but that was last Saturday. Venus is good but the club is just far too hot. The music at both nights is very similar, vocal based house. Personally I prefer 2Risque, mainly due to the crowd in there and the layout of the club. Im sure you will have a top night at either of them.

yeah i saw that somewhere on net looked really good, shame i missed it. ill def check it out another time. i like a friendly crowd cant stand it in places where everyone is up their own arse. checked out the flow website btw. as if i knew anything about manchester havin boat parties! sure ill check out flow at some point. i plan to reaquaint myself with manchester when bac from shef over the summer. unless i decide to sod off to ibiza again that is.

The ventilation has been changed so its nowhere near as bad as the sweat box it used to be. Sadly though, they've had to close the courtyard off which was perfect for a cool down in the summer.

Told my mate and she fancies givin it a try so looks like we will be there. i couldnt see what time its on till. can you let us know please. also if its not a late one do you know anywhere good to go after. were quite partial to our late nights/early mornins, prob a bit too much!

Other than the system in the Annexe, the system in North is the best I've ever played on.
