anyone for global gathering?

k im jealous of all u lot goin to homelands this weekend. gutted i couldn't make it but absolutely can't wait for global. so excited its my first festival and looks pretty wickedl! anyone go last year? reports please and is anyone goin this year for a day or whole weekend and campin? (like me)
 
I went in '03. It rained pretty much the whole time, but all the arenas were tented. Even with all the rain, it was the best festie I've ever been to. Probably one of the highlights was being in the Gods tent for Tiesto. This was when Motorcycle's As the Rush Comes was at its peak. He dropped it, and we were at the very front, bouncing, singing, and listening to 10 000 people go off 8O
I will never forget that.
Went on a few rides when I was rushing. Now that's a whole story on it's own.
I got some sweet pics from that night as well.

This years looks unreal. I really want to go but the good ol Canadian dollar doesn't do so well when converted to pounds :cry:

Friday look better with Deep dish, underworld live, and oakey...

Still not decided what to do, if I go it'll be last minute and for the entire weekend, altho the chances now look slim...

Still, I said the same thing the last 3 years yet went everytime lol
 
gkgg is absolutely wicked. if it's your first time it'll blow you away! highlight of last year was 8000 people going mental to erick morillo...

going for saturday this year. not about camping....
 
thought i'd attempt to revive my dead post now its only two weeks (nearly!) eee, till the event. so anyone else goin now? sat tickets have sold out im bit worried as still waitin for mate to get cash together so we can get our weekend tickets. jus wonderin does anyone know what there like for searching you? want to take some drink and stuff but bit unsure. i know your not supposed to take drink or food but wonderin if we would be able to sneak it. not that bothered bout drink and food mind! jus want to make sure im ok with other stuff! how thourough are they with searches. would my bra, for example be a good place? plenty of room in there u see! :D

Yeah :P Im going, Me, Kaz + 5 ;) Only for the saturday sesh. This is my first GKGG. We normally do Creamfields but we are giving that a miss this year. On previous visit to Creamfields they are not all that thourough on searches but can't comment on GKGG :?

Only 2 weeks on Saturday - bring it on 8)

You're not allowed to take drinks etc in and they search everyone with bags.

Re other stuff there are a few sniffer dogs around and police presence and they do search some people but it's one of those things where you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get caught.

Was going to go too but then I extended my Ibiza holiday to 2 weeks so theres no way I can afford it now.
 
I was talking to my mate who's in the sidewinder crew and they're looking forward to mugging/robbing/beating loads more skanky little trance boys at GG again this year :lol:
