anyone else stopped smoking???

Anyone......????? iv been off the tabs since thursday now and its been ok....but i havn't been out all weekend as am still recovering from newyears eve/day partying non stop:oops: ... mite be a different story once iv had a few beers and a couple of cheeck ones;) .... if theres anyone else let me know hows it going easy? hard? im actuly feelng not that much different!...........................

I stopped 3 months ago and I was a right fag ash Lil 20+ a day smoker :roll: I found the hardest bit when I first stopped was when I was drinking (I went on patches) but after a few weeks it didn't even bother me going out with smokers.

I did have 2 cigarettes in DC10 on NYD (but none since) but I'm figuring a couple in 3 months is infinitely better than the 258972340823074 I would have smoked in the same period.

Good luck, you will feel loads better and believe me if old fah ash Lil here can stop then anyone can :lol: ;)
 
nice one barbie well done!! i didnt realy smoke that many but when i go out i somtimes en up doing about 40 in 20 in the club 20 back at a party!!! nightmare !!!!!! going to stick at it .....and so what if i slip and have 1 or 2 when im out like you say its better than 100000000000000s

NYE was a challenge but apart from that, not too bad

(although i could really smoke one right now tbh,

so do you think it may be possible for somone who has smoked propper in the past to stop and just have the odd off it tab??? my wife has never smoked but every time we go clubbing she used to end up smokin half of mine!!! then the next day she was back to not being bothered????......unless thats why she's so moody for a week hahaah

Tbh I reckon it's a slippery slappery slope once you start having a few when you're funked if you've been a proper smoker in the past - that's why I've always failed in my attempts at stopping before - I'd kid myself that I'd just smoke when I was out and be a 'social smoker' and before I knew it I was back on 20 a day :roll: Then again you may have more willpower than me ;)
 
noooo dont say that barbie!!! im quite lovin this not smoking feeling during the week..at work and the rest but i just cant imagine sitting back at a party after a long night out NOT SMOKING!! it goes hand in hand with brandy and coke.. or jack daniels and coke......or any spirit and any mixer realy!!!!
 
Since having this crap cold/cough thingy - I am down to 2-3 a day - which has been fine because my chest has been fooked. However, now I am starting to feel a little less ill, I am starting to look to the cig packet a little bit more....

It would seem a shame to up the limit after 2 weeks just cos my chest is getting well - actually it would be stupid so trying to just stick to the 2-3 quota a day.... I am fine at work - its when I get home ...:? :? :?

That's how I always used to fall off the wagon tho :? I'd convince myself that I wouldn't smoke in the week (not too hard) and be a social smoker cos I'm with you that a glass of wine seems so much nicer with a Camel Light......but before I knew it my social smoking would creep up and up and before I knew it I was a full-blown smoker again :roll:

You might be able to manage being a social smoker tho, for me it was all or nothing. I think the reason why I've managed to stop this time is that for me this was the first time I've tried to stop and I actually WANTED to stop - I think that counts massively. Now I can't really remember what it was like smoking most of the time and it's only been 3 months for me.
 
My boss has been a 20 a day smoker for 23 years....over Xmas she read Allan Carrs book and has given up just like that....8O ....not one in 2 weeks....not even an urge.:D
 
yea i think your right i do want to stop for good this time!! i mean you wont even be allowed to smoke in a bar soon so thats pushing me a bit aswell.. i'v half stopped in the past with the old i will only smoke when i drink line...and then make an excuse to go and have a drink so i can have a smoke!!!!:?
so thanks for the advice i will try my bestest!!!!:lol:

:lol: That's what I used to do :oops: :lol: As I said if an old fag ash Lil like me can stop anyone can :lol: And seriously after the first couple of weeks it does get easier so you're half way there already ;)
