Any sales in London next week?

Feeling like I'm going to need some shopping therapy when in London next week.... at the very least, I need some new shoes and I'm sure the missus has a few things on her list.

Any sales in the shops these days? If so, which parts of town?

I was in town shopping yesterday and all the sales have finished and it's all new season stuff now.

:(

Had a feeling that'd be the case. Next question then - any good places to get a nice pair of office shoes that won't break the bank?

The ones I usually wear are falling apart and started hurting my feet today (do your feet swell from lots of dancing?). I picked up this pair on sale at some place on Bond Street. Great deal but I doubt such fortune could be repeated.

I'm not really up on boys shoes :? Tom just wears Patrick Cox or Gucci for work that he's had for ages. If you want High Street try Shelleys, Schuh or Office, they all do men's ranges and you might be able to pick up something there.

Ya, I know Shelley's and Office... I suppose I'll take a look. I might check back at that place on Bond too... who knows, perhaps they've still got a deal or two going on.

*bugger. just wrote a massive reply and lost it. fuming, anyway, here's a summary...*

Office (own brand) shoes are awful.

They are all (and it's fun playing find the original/inspiration when in-store). They'll have copies of the current styles-du-jour (they'll have gucci loafes, prada style rubber soles, paul smith style ones, wannabe wannabe's etc), but they are all awful build quality.

You should never scrimp on footwear. Especially one's you wear day-to-day.

Are you out clubbing this weekend in London Morbyd?

We're down this coming weekend too and i reckon there'll be a group of us hitting a club or two.

X-man: own-brand is a no-go. I'm usually good at spotting high-quality shoe build so I try to strike a balance between designer brand name and price. Even these days when I can afford it, I can't bring myself to blow a lot of money on shoes because I have a habit of ruining them quickly... not sure why.. guess I'm just clumsy.

Drew: We'll be out in London weekend after next... it's all about Together/Veryveryverywrongindeed at Turnmills.

Argentis Jewellery at Liverpool Street are having a sale next week

Or you could buy a job lot of beans and get a load of waste tin into the bargain that way!

Shopping alert! (for guys)

Herrods has a batch of jeans (D&G, Paul Smith, Versace, Diesel, other brands I'm not familiar with but look halfway decent) on sale for up to 70% off.

I got a pair of 100 quid jeans for 35.

but then again, I'm 'just a yank' so maybe I was just imagining it.
