Any parties over 128bpm this year that are not trance or overly commercial?

I'm really struggling to find a night over 128bpm that isn't trance or overly commercial. The pace seems to have slowed down so much over the past few years. Reading Coxy's review - I remember & loved the days he played 135bpm!

Any advice as to where I can go this year? Been coming to Ibiza for 10 years now & this year seems the slowest beats! I'm there 29/6-13/7 (with 3 year old daughter so can only do 1 or 2 nights) and then again 24-30 aug. Watched an elrow night on YouTube & it was pounding so keen to try that.

If I were you I'd go to Christian varela in the vista at privilege there is some good guests there that play banging techno, also you got enter opening party when you're there too. To be honest all the djs play a bit heavier in the peak time hours. You're never going to get it as fast as it used to be but it will still sound good. I've went to see djs like booka shade for example thinking it was going to be really laid back and they ended up playing tech house.

I hear you Liv, I'm on the same boat. When I listen to some of the DJs who are playing in Sankeys etc, I feel like its way too down-tempo for me. I raised a similar thread below:

Marco Bailey's night at Sankeys all way. He's got Slam, Christian Smith and Ben Sims playing on different nights. Each will go off.

Yes - unfortunately you'll just miss it but there should be a Pig & Dan night @ Sankeys (Elevate) next Tuesday (25th June) announced officially any time now and I believe Tronic are doing a room - Christian Smith & co. if anyone else looking for same.

Will do! Our second trip is just me & hubby so we should be able to do a little more then. Enjoy it! Those rare moments of peace without the kiddies.
