ANY NEWS ON WHEN RADIO 1 WEEK IS 2005?

no weekend this year but there is going to be an event on the island.

apparently jules is announcing the details and dates on this wks show.
 
I dont think there is one this year. Radio 1 have done a review of all there events etc and made a few changes, one of them being Ibiza!
 
yes i did hear jules mention that he will announce whats happenin, mixmag said there wouldnt be a R1 week, but jules did say there would....
either way surely tong will do his show from the island as per usual, i cant see him wanting to do his show from falaraki or somewhere!!

There is going to be 1 event apparently. I suspect a night at Amnesia or may be something like last years thing in the hills.
 
I'm glad I got to experience Radio 1 w/e before it went t&ts up. It made a mess of the west end though. The invite only party seems like a nice idea, but it doesnt do anything for the public.
 
the party in the hills was great tho!! althought after manumissions 10th b'day the night b4 i dont know how we survived it!! haha!
 
to our surprise it was at that place that used to be like a bull ring type thing where i went on an 18-30's night about 10years ago!!

i was like.......ahhhhh this place!!!

sorry i cant remeber the name of it! im crap like that!!
 
You will find that its Gala Night.
Its a place used for wedding receptions etc people often refer to it as the old zoo althou its never been a zoo.

its not really in the hills and is in san an althou you do have to go up a hill to get there :-)

think sundance did there events there and the 18-30 night dance with the devil ??

Last year escapades had there weekley cabaret there
 
yes, to describe gala night as in the hills is real estate agent speak! although if you continue past it you do actually end up in the hills and eventually resurface near the san jose gas station. it's a lovely drive through the country and just off the road there's a tiny little chapel the size of a garden shed perched on top of the hill with spectacular views of the island. you can actually drive to within about 100 metres of it.

btw my mother in law always goes to gala night for the annual ibiza pensioners dinner - the grumpy old people get about 15 courses for 6 euros!
 
we didnt win........a friend of radio 1 called us about an hour before it started and invited us along VIP :P

I should know more about thsi years antics next week off so called friend of radio 1.
