Another sad story

Was reading a local newspaper on Sunday to read of a girl who was knocked down (by a police car 8O ) last week.

Turns out it's a very dear friend of ours!

She has apparently suffered bad facial injuries and has a blood clot on her brain which they hope to remove today/tomorrow :cry:

Apart from being incredibly beautiful, she is also such a beautiful, kindhearted person with lots of friends. She is one of those people who always looked amazing in her own individual style. One of a kind really.

She was also due to get married soon and her life was really coming together, until this!

The doctors have already said to expect substantial facial injuries, which i know will devastate her :(

The most important thing is that she pulls through the life threatening head injuries and can start to rebuild her life.

We'll be going to visit her on Friday when hopefully, they'll have removed the clot.

Poor girl!

That's terrible news Drew.

She'll be in need of all the support she can get from her friends and family by the sounds of things. Poor Girl.
 
She has lots of good people in her life so she'll get plenty of support.

The next couple of days are going to be tough for everyone.

This story really hits home to me because 2 years ago one of my cloest friends died in a road accident. We were only looking at some photo's of him the other day :(

this probably isnt a PC thing to say but stuff like that never seems to happen to bad people, it's always the nice ones.
 
Thanks for all the PM's guys and gals ;)

However, to clarify a couple of things: -

- Yes, she is a very good friend of ours (10 years)

- Her name wasn't mentioned in the newspaper article

- We found out through a mutual friend yesterday

- It took a few days for the news to reach us because we don't know her boyfriend or family and she was hardly in any state to start ringing around all her friends to put them in the picture.

Hope that helps explain.
