I'm full of em today! Well not really a question more of a dillema...

I have a job interview on my lunch break tomorrow which obv I have to dress smart for - the trouble is I always dress in jeans etc here! I've made an excuse that I may be a little late back as I have to go to the bank...... Now what do I wear??? I haven't the time to change before I get there so i'm kinda stuck!!

Any ideas on how casual I can get away with?? :D

Wear a smart top with jeans and nice shoes. Then stop by your neighborhood MacDonalds on the way to the interview and change into your skirt (pick one that won't wrinkle easily when folded into your largest available purse). Change back on the way back to the office. 8)

Ooh I like this project, I was getting a bit bored with the get Jess to Heathrow project so this has given me something new to think about  ;)

Just scrub yourself up in the morning and then a quick change in the toilets at lunchtime, most people don't expect you to wear suits for interviews these days so if you put a nice top on for work and then whip your jeans off for a little skirt (maybe go for the pencil-skirt sexy look  ) and you'll walk it :D

Or if that doesn't work, just hope it's a man who interviews you and you can bribe him with sexual favours  ;)

Yeah that was getting dull :D I have many more questions but they can wait till later on in the week ;)

Think i'll do that!! Had a lovely pencil skirt but the zip broke last week! :(

Unfortunately its a lady interviewing - I hope she's not an old crow! :D

Definitely, the last 2 jobs I got to I wore a shirt dress and wool jumper dress, unless you're applying for a job that is very suited and booted, then they don't expect you to go in a suit.

Well its for a travel company so not sure how they work - think it will probably be a suity type place! :( The only reason I like working here is cos I can wear what I like!! :D

Yeah tried that! Thank you :D

Its for a Marketing Administrator - large company though so hopefully scope for progression :D

Ahem....

If you exclude my recommendation on toilet/changing room location, that's exactly what I said!

 I always say I'd never take a job again if they expected me to wear smart clothes

I think a wrap dress sounds perfect, also clothes say a lot about personality and they probably don't want a sheep in a grey suit

If it's Marketing Jess anything goes, in fact if you wear a suit or something they'll thinking you've tried a bit too hard, something smart but with a bit of individuality ;)

Do you marketing already Jess??

AND you can wear it over jeans in your usual job - just whip the jeans off in the toilet on way out.....

Speak to the company, see what the dress code for the interview is and then go from there.

You could always wear something you wouldnt normally wear for work and say you are going out straight after work or something like that.

I reckon you should wear a smart top with jeans and nice shoes.

On the way to the interview, stop off, perhaps in your local MacDonalds and change into a smart skirt (making sure you have a bag large enough so it wont crease), then simlply change back on the way back to the office. ;)
