Now, you may have heard that this year in Ibiza the local police have been extremely strict and some of the island's most famous clubs, bars andrestaurants such as DC10, Amnesia, Kanya, Mambo and Bora Bora have been subject to temporary closures or had to restrict their outdoor broadcasts.

Last Monday night it was Ibiza Rocks' turn and we were forced to pull the live performance by The Streets Soundsystem at the last minute. Ticketholders got full refunds and Zane Lowe went ahead with a storming set on the venue PA.

However, this does mean we have had to move some of the Ibiza Rocks shows to alternate venues - next week's Dirty Pretty Things/The Twang double header (Tuesday August 21st) will now take place at a Gala Nights, a licenced outdoor music venue (and former zoo!) 10 minutes from San Antonio.

There will be free buses leaving Bar M from 7pm, it'll be the same capacity, same soundsystem, same production values, same tunes and the same great atmosphere - only the location is changing.

We'll let you know venue details for the remaining shows as soon as we have them, but please rest assured that this changes nothing; no shows will be cancelled and Ibiza Will continue to rock!

Here're all the details you need for the Tuesday 21st show:

SKINNER ALMOST ARRESTED IN IBIZA

THE STREETS star MIKE SKINNER was almost arrested by police in Ibiza after his summer concert on the island was cancelled at the last minute.
The singer was scheduled to play at the Manumission's Bar M on Monday (13Aug07), but authorities ordered organisers to cancel the event minutes before Skinner was due to take to the stage - or risk arrest.
Skinner explains, "I was really looking forward to our big Ibiza DJ mega-party. Went to soundcheck, everything sounded good, ...went back for a shower and then heard that the police had shut down the stage. "They put tape around the whole thing and said: 'If anyone goes on they get arrested.' "
Neither me or my MC fancied a night in a Spanish jail so we ended up hanging around Cafe Mumbo while (DJ) Roger Sanchez played."
Skinner also revealed he was almost ejected from his hotel after causing a cooker to explode.

i was almost arrested once, i heard it was illegal to piss in a street but i was bursting

you'll all be pleased to know i waited though

but it was a close brush with the law

hmmm - talk about a non-story (btw when we were there, there was no tape just 3 stickers on the front of the stage...)

ive nearly been arrested loads of times... good job i didnt do anything illegal that would have... er... got me arrested.... ;)
 
Oh well that's life. The crazy rock kids with their tight jeans will just have to holiday somewhere else then :)

this is a story that changes everytime i read it. the first version i read had him almost ejected from his 12 person villa because 25 were staying there and the bass vibrations from the sound system had shattered the hob of the electric cooker.
