The silly mare has gone and sold out to loreal.

I'm usually quite good at this but can someone reccomend some bathroom products that aren't tested on animals.

(I don't mind if some of the products have been at some point because that's hard to avoid - I just don't want products that 'are' if that makes sense.)

Can't be arsed to debate the issue either so open a seperate thread for the Tony Blair bit.

I thought most of them weren't because it is now illegal to test cosmetics on animals? Or are bathroom products not cosmetics :?

You aren't allowed to test cosmetics or household products on animals in the uk, but that doesn't mean that they haven't done testing abroad

This is quite a comprehensive list that I often refer to http://www.ok.jawsieci.pl/uk/

I knew Roddick had sold The Body Shop to L'Oreal but do you know how this is affecting her stance on animal testing, I thought that one of the criteria for selling was that they adopted her animal testing policies :?

Yes that's what I thought...and most of these companies are American anyway. (surprise)

Well I still wouldn't buy their stuff by association.

Loreal + body shop smacks of guilty pr to me!

It smacks of flora + London marathon

...oh and aren't bp environmentally friendly?

Their intention is wrong so Loreal can kiss my buttocks.

plus loreal is 25% owned by Nestle, responsible for much of the corporate dodgyness that Roddick spent so long campaigning against

That web site is really good!

It says Botanics is ok? Is that the Boots stuff? Does that mean I can shop in Boots again then?

I can't be arsed to check labels I just want to find a brand I can be lazy with and stick to them.

hello to you too robder! :p you've barely been in here recently :( (actually, has stuie been in at all over the last couple of weeks??)

Botanics definitely don't test on animals, and some of their products are quite good - I like the shave gel, but I found the aftershave balm stuff very sticky :?

It's cheap too, which is a bonus.

and expect to retain any any shred of your 'reputation'
