I've got a friend who's really into it actually, he gets all excited when he buys cashmere wool and knits hundreds of bonkers scarves because they're all he can knit. He tried to teach me and I could do the beginning bit but then I kept on messing up :?

I can't really see myself doing it for more than about a week and then getting bored and moving on to something else.

Maybe if knitting was more competitive, like speed knitting, it might be more my thing

Collecting stamps is the new knitting!!

I used to do that as a kid!

I got myself into debt with a stamp company that used to send me stamps all the time. :? . My mother had to bail me out

Maybe we could take some cashmere to Victoria Park in the summer for a post Saturday night/pre SecretSundaze activity.

Who knows what sort of creative knits we could come up with! 8O

I think it amounted to about £3 but it kept on going up as they kept on sending me more stamps and £3 is quite a lot for a young boy of 10 or 11 who only gets a couple of pounds pocket money a week!

Knitting prior to secretsundazed sounds excellent

Ooh, I'm really looking forward to the summer, I think I'll start coming down to london on sunday mornings to meet the knitting group and then get a lot of mondays off

Just been out for a fag - it's definitely still winter despite the sun

We've got to have something to aspire to!

Is there a knitting mentor we can look up to? Can you research?
(Maybe we could attend annual international knitting conventions!)

OMG just realised how much I've just got into knitting!   ()
