An age question?

I am considering coming to Ibiza for my first time in July, I‘m a 47 yr old single bloke from London

I have been going to Gran Canaria for years but feel like I am missing out on something when I am there because I love my music so much, I am a regular clubber in the uk but sometimes feel like I am the oldest one there :)
Do you think it would be the same in Ibiza?
From watching programmes like “Is Harry on the boat” I am in love with the Island already and really want to come over. I am considering July in San Antonio
Would be Interested to know how you younger clubbers would feel about clubbin with an Oldun?

Go for it :)

We only live once (or most of us do!). After your first visit you will be hooked and will find yourself looking for excuses and reasons to go several times per year!

I can't answer for the younger posters as 40 is not far away for me but hope to still be going to Ibiza for a few years yet and don't think ageism would ever be an issue in Ibiza.

I'm 34, always stay in San Antonio and sincerely hope that I'm still clubbing at your age!!! You don't say what kind of music you prefer- that could have a bearing on things. I'm sure you'll have a great time either way!

Mate. It will be the most sensible decision you ever make.

I'm nearly 45 and Ibiza is the only place to go. Age is a number over there, the vibe is nothing to do with age - it's just a number after all.

Would agree with staying in PDB though.

Do it and enjoy - you will never regret it 8)

definitely go for it... you are missing out on something! Keeping swatting up on here and make sure you hit the right places and you will not want to go anywhere else

I've only been in early September, but always noticed people waaaaaay older than me.. I'm 28... and everyone fits in..

I HEARD that you get a lot more of the young 'uns in July/August, and the older crowds come in September... i'm sure other people on this board know more about that than me though..

If you love your clubbing, don't hesitate about booking your hol to Ibiza...nothing can touch it for 10 days and nights of clubbing paradise

I was very indecisive, should I? shouldn't I? before I went 2 years ago.. and am now thinking about going back for a 3rd time this year.. what I thought would be a one-off experience, has led to this addiction:twisted:

Hi, Thank you all for your comments and suggestions.
I have had a little look at playa d'en bossa but the accomodation seems to be twice the price of what I could get in san antonio, Is this just because it is a better area or is it because everything else is booked?
The accomodation I looked at in san an was in aveinda de portmany, I am unable to find this road on any map and so know nothing about the area like whether it is away from the main town a bit and therefore a bit less noisy?

I also wonder whether july is the right month for my visit but my holidays are allocated and it may be a while before I can visit in september!

Thanks again! :)

get your bifocals on! avenida de portmany is the biggest road in san antonio as it is the one which goes direct to ibiza town.

the hotels on this road are all close to the centre of san an

San An will be cheaper because it's the main party spot for the "young'uns"! It's got the majority of the cheap bars and clubs there.

Why dont you try San An Bay, thats normally reasonably priced and a bit further away from the madness of San Antonio town.

What price range are you looking at?
You said you were going alone? I beleive the Fiesta hotel, which is right across from Space, a short walk from bora bora is 75 euro a night and this includes breakfast and dinner.

Accomodation does make it pricier if you don't have someone to share with
