Amnesia opening 2014

May 31? A week earlier than usual isn't it? Wonder if that means that the other openings e.g. Cocoon etc move early too! Interesting....

I'm f***ing fuming, changed dates and booked flights now after being told it's normally two weeks after so I've booked a trip around nothing!

i must admit i was surprised when I got the news a few days ago. it's their earliest opening ever and the normally do open later.

Any heads up if the whole programming is moving up a week? I.e. Is Cocoon opening 02 June as opposed to 09 June (in line with previous years)?
 
I assume spotlight will kindly re book my booking back to original dates? I only changed it last week ffs :D
It's my mate who will be having trouble with the time off, I'm going to it so he can come or not I have waited enough years to go to this party! I can also change date on flights thankfully.
Gonna ring him tomorrow and hope he doesn't shout too much .lol:

cocoon will confirm that themselves...but they will have their longest season ever so figure yourself.

Well there are 5 Monday's in June this year - so here is hoping the line-ups are out of this World then or could be a few slower nights!

their line ups will be pretty good, i think you'll like them. am pretty confident cocoon will have a good year.

that said, and I repeat myself, I honestly was surprised to see amnesia opening that early. it's true june hasn't been the strongest month in the last few years so let's see how that turns out.

Brilliant, look forward to seeing them! Without giving too much away, are we going to see DJ swapping reaching new levels this summer or is "exclusivity" (remember that) the flavour of 2014?

Hopefully with Amnesia starting early it may drive some more early bookings as in the past those two weeks between Ushuaia/Space/DC10 opening and then Opening Part II (Amnesia, We Love, Cocoon etc) was always a slow/weird period!
 
dj swaps will still happen, but not as much as last year i think. with everyone absolutely overdoing it in 2013, it totally lost the magic touch of the concept. you'll still see the big ones playing elsewhere once or twice over the summer, but I think (basing on feedbacks and hoping too) not as much as last season.

yeah if lots of promoters would start early, that would definitely help to a good start of the season
 
Do you know when cocoon usually confirm opening? Would soften the blow if I can make cocoon opening but if it's straight after amnesia opening I may lose a friend over this :D
 
I've changed the days of my booking again, if cocoon doesn't opening the day after I think I'll top myself! Gonna cost me to change flights but only £35 better then buying new I'll hold off doing that till cocoon is announced then I can officially be on count down.
Currently 114 sleeps :D

From past memory I think Cocoon announce the opening line-ups late March / early April (I may be wrong though)

he's only after the opening DATE i think, not the line up as such.
cocoon will announce that date very soon.
 
Correct, I'm looking forward to the marathon after party Sven throws for opening/closing always look a bit special :)
 
Usually the cocoon opening date is announced just after wmc.. Then lineups a few weeks later. Looking forward to this year. Who remembers last year waiting for the enter lineups lol!..

I'd say that is a good shout! What about and/or Maceo & Loco Dice too? Or is that too much star power?

I think Mar-T is already confirmed in some capacity.
