Amnesia closing 2010 - Best Party of the Year??

I'd say quite strict.......it's likely that at the time of closing, there won't be anyone manning the guestlist entrance. 6am is perfect time to arrive anyway

Oh No.... I just had the whole weekend planned and then this gets thrown into the mix.....

Goodbye chilling on the beach Sunday morning

Hello Amnesia

From Loco Dice myspace ''2th october amnesia closing...........3th october People Like Us Ibiza''
Where is this party? the after party of Cierre Amnesia?

Just back from a long weekend in Ibiza with my girlfriend after getting her flights for her birthday so we could go to Amnesia closing but the night was a bit of a disaster! It was our third visit to the island. We got to Amnesia at half 3 and i have literally never been to a club (or anywhere else) that was so clearly over crowded and capacity. We went way to the back hoping there woul be more space there, stood for about an hour hoping it would quieten down, then tried to move to the main room and getting there was actually a bit scary... it was so so busy and people were pushing and i genuinely was worried about what would happen if someone fell over. we waited another hour at the edge of the main room and at about half 5, finally decided to give up and head home.

It was a real shame but we just couldnt see how we could dance comfortably (or at all) and felt really trapped at times. I go to football games and Notting Hill carnival everywhere and have been in some pretty tight crowds but this was something else. When we left, there were still about 300 people outside still trying to get in looking pretty unhappy! Anyway, still love Ibiza and we had an amazing weekend, it was just the one night we had been looking forward to for months was a bit of a let down!

best clubbing experience ever. simple as that.

will let you know more when i've found the words to describe it.........

I had a feeling other people would say it was amazing...had it quietened down when you got there Grego (when did you get there?) or are you a bit more used to those sorts of crowds? If i'd had VIP and been up on the balcony, it would have been amazing, but it was just too too busy on the dance floor!

It was the party of my life !!!!!
Left at 16:30 to catch the space closing and the party was still on .

it was funny because i walked in and it was rammed but though "don't be a grumpy old git!" and have some fun but after over 2 hours of standing at the edge of the dance floor, we just didnt know what to do really. We kept joking about it, but at the end of the day just gave up. I LOVE amnesia but because it doesnt have a outdoor area, there wasnt anywhere to really chill out.

We did debate going at 7am but as we were flying out on the Sunday, went earlier. Also, we were a bit wary after buying dud substances at the previous night out...turning up at 7am to a club after just waking up and not being ableto get messy was a grim prospect!

The daytime picture looks amazing and exactly what i wanted...im gutted :(

Great party and music, got in at 6am after underground and was really really busy. We managed to find a spot near the back of the terrace with a bit of room and was fine until about 10am when it got way too overcrowded, which caused alot of groups to start pushing and getting aggressive. Encountered three separate groups of italian men who seemed to lack any respect for anyone else inside other than themselves, choosing to continuously push and shove anyone who got close to them whilst dancing and to force themselves over-aggresively past people while laughing and joking with each other. We kept trying to find space but gave up after 2 hours and left at 12, which was disappointing because the music was brilliant and we had been looking forward to it for months. Brilliant party but way too busy, and no way near anything as good as dc10 closing last night :)

I'm glad it wasn't just me! We noticed it got a bit aggressive at one point too and that just isnt what ibiza is about. I am annoyed at myself for not remembering that underground was open until the next day. Having said that, i think our night was pretty much done when we left Amnesia.

It does look a lot busier in that picture ^ compared to pics from the last 2 years - but I'd quite like to be in the middle of that madness on a Sunday afternoon!

Have to agree. Despite it being rammed !

Managed to squeeze in a couple of hours of Ushuaia closing before heading to airport, this was rocking too. All in all, despite the disappointment of not making DC10 closing with a bunch of friends, this was one of my best weeks ever in Ibiza. The music this year was right up my street, deep, dark and edgy but with a great groove (if that makes any sense, I'm still in recovery mode and my brain is not what it should be...!)

Must chime in to agree with that. My thoughts exactly.
First time in a couple of years when I was really feeling the music almost everywhere I went. 8)

it looks a lot more managable in that video than when i was there. i guess the key is just to treat it as a daytime event and completely ignore that night aspect. i was aiming to catch a bit of both but it definitely didnt work!
