Tonight on at 9.30 on BBC3. Love the british version, keen to see what the americans have done with it.

Not sure if everyone will be interested. Probably not

I read in Heat (or some similar informative publication  ) that it's pretty good and the characters play the roles well but you can't help but compare it to UK version.

I know, same here. Ive already seen a picture of the main character, he looks relatively normal. Ricky Gervais was ideal as David Brent because he just looks odd and completely uncool.
We'll have to wait and see.
Also heard they use very similar scripts.

I've seen the first episode of the US one and think it's hilarious.

Compared to the UK one, it doesn't quite reach those heights, but it's still very clever.

The Office (along with the League of Gentlemen, which i'm off to see in a few hours !), is prob the cleverest, most cringeworthy and utterly brilliant comedy i've seen since Monty Phython.

I love The Office. I haven't seen it on lately...it aired about 4 or 5 episodes and that's it.

Nope Mr PL cant understand it - but I think you have had to work in an office and experienced "middle management" to understand it.....

Im glad you liked it, I thought it was the sort of sense of humour some americans wouldnt get.

I think they only made 6 episodes for the US.

I have never even heard of it . Then again, American television seems to add new shows every week. I will check it out when they air again.

Doh, I only saw about 4. Might have to do some downloading if I did indeed miss a couple... :?

It was good, but pretty much exactly the same script as the English version. Was hoping for some different gags.
