American Clubber, seeking answers :)

rico,

This site is the best place to get info. I say if you can go this year, don't put it off and DON'T wait around for your friends to go with you if you are keen on going this year. You said in your post that money is no option, so why not?

I went in early September last year, on my own and had a blast. Met tons of people. I was only there for the meganite closing party, so i can't really comment on the whole closing parties experience, but I was out nearly every day and every night, and the atmosphere and music was great at nearly every single one of them..

I stayed on my own in Playa d'en Bossa ( Fiesta hotel.. one of the cheapest options if you're on your own), right across from Space, just down from bora bora (which is a great place to meet people!).

I came over from Canada, then got an easyjet flight from London. I got quite a cheap charter flight to London. Easyjet is alright, but they arrive and depart at ridiculous times, and I think if I go again, I'll look at other flight like british airways or anything else and arrive at a normal time.

Trust me, just go! :D

Thats the thing people, i REALLY wanna go this summer BUT I may be getting a new job and with that in the air, I just cant swing it. The job is top notch and pays crazy money, so I have to stick around till i get all that info. So right now Im just planning for next year unless things change.

I agree with you on Mardi Gras, ive never been one to see girls flash themselves anyways lol. Nothing wrong with it but once you seen it...ya seen it. Lookin for something totally diff and amazing and this sounds like it is it. Thx again everyone for the info...started my Ibiza Notebook and writing this all down haha

I agree that this site is the BEST place to get Ibiza info.

There is only one way to even FATHOM any aspect of Ibiza without going there for yourself... and that is to talk to someone that has been.

Whenever people ask me about it, I always respond by saying, "I could sit here for twenty four hours straight and you would still have no idea." Once they see the massive, earth-shattering smile that forms across my face when all the thoughts and memories start rolling around in my head, they crave to hear more.

My suggestion to you is keep fact finding on this site... maybe look up the past posts that involve titles like "best Ibiza experience/club night/hotel" etc., and lists like "top must-do's of Ibiza."

HAVE SO MUCH FUN FOR ME.... it won't involve any effort. :D :D :D

Another suggestion... BRING ANTIBIOTICS, Echinacea (sp?), vitamins, that Airborne stuff that fizzes in a cup... whatever will prevent/cure sickness.

Last time I went to Ibiza I got a horrible throat infection of some sort... it tuckered me out so badly and my throat hurt so violently I could barely swallow. I stayed at Jet Apartments and the only stuff the drug stores had around there was this weird spray that did nothing and tasted like ass for my throat, and orange juice for Vitamin C. You won't get much, if any sleep, will be extremely active, and probably will drink way more alcohol than water... take preventative measures.

If it weren't for this awesome French dudes we met that had a general antibiotic, I would have been flat on my back in bed for the whole trip. Maybe some Ibiza vets can offer more tips than I could on this.

I appreciate that. Jsut from partying at Mardi Gras for 5 days straight seems to wear me down, so Im gonna need to suck it up for all the closing parties. I usually have vitamin C but ill make sure I have other supplies. Been telling my closests friends bout Ibiza recently and we may be going out there with a good crew...it will prolly be summer 06 but thats ok...it may start the first of many trips :)

Hey buddy,

im off to work out there this summer, i have been to ibiza for the last 2 years and it truely is amazing, like was said once u go u have to keep commin bak, i no that closing parties sound like a good idea and are cheaper but if u want the ultimate experience id still say go start july- mid july, due to the sake of constant partyin, but hey weneva u go ull have an awsome time! also in my first year of ibiza i stayed in a hotel called piscis park, its in san antonio town and literally in the middle of everythin! the main beach is less than 100yards away, the westend is about 300yards away and eden/ es paradise are bout 300 yards away aswell! however if u like ur sleep dont stay here! but if u get a good room the view is amazing! if you need to no netin feel free to give me a shout - lovesick2k@hotmail.com, also im movin to america for a year nxt year so maybe u cud help me out with ne info ;)

Credit cards shouldn't be a problem.
Visa, American Express.. All the major credit cards will work in Spain.

About the Antibiotics, the pharmacies are fine in Spain. The staff will speak English.

Thx Deano and Justin. Im still pondering what i wanna do. Seems there will be more people june/july and to me, the more the merrier :) Glad to know about the credit cards...just means i dont have to bring so much cash which is most excellent. Deano u need to know anything...just ask my frined. Do whatever I can
