We (well I say we, but I mean Phil) drove from LV - San Fran (dull drive)
We also drove from LV to here, http://www.dreamlandresort.com/ which was just brilliant. I recomend staying in a trailer park to anyone
Amazing scenery on the drive to Rachel, but just scary people Redneck central - when you got there. We had a lock in the first night at the little A'Le'In and I was too scared to voice an opinion (that's a first) they talked about was gun law, impeach Clinton, right to bear arms - guns are great
"do y'all have one back home - you should have one - protect your lil' lady and your homestead!!!"
On the bar of the little A'Le'In was an automatic rifle with a full clip in the raffle - 1$ a ticket or 5$'s for 5 tickets - what a bargain!!!!!
Driving is worth it just because you will see so many bizarre sights and strange people.....

This is why I'm often frightened to leave the East Coast
It scared me enough to not venture out "too south" in the future - its quite unbelievable the culture difference between a large town and a small Town
(I know you cant stereotype - BUT all the inhabitants of Rachel wore Dungarees and checked shirts -
