Alone in Ibiza?

Hi there,

A little question: Have you ever been to Ibiza alone? How was it? Not feeling alone?

I went 2 years to the white Island with my ex-boyfriend and I'd like to come back this year but I think that none of my friends will be able to come so I'm thinking about going alone but I'm still a little bit hesitating...:roll:

Hi Choc,

I am also going alone, and I heard that Ibiza is one of the best places to go alone. If you are a girl, you might want to be a little careful about who you go clubbing with, but I am sure you will meet people easily. Try to stay at a place with your type of crowd.
 
I am a girl and have gone on my own most times to ibiza! :)

It's great... I have never had any troubles and always met people SOOOOO easily

And if the people you are out clubbing are complete muppets, then you can ditch them... no need to be nice and say "Thank you for the lovely evening" :lol:

anyway, I've travelled a lot on my own, done the whole backpacking thing/ traveling thing in several countries and before I went to ibiza I worried that it would be harder in a resort type place like ibiza to meet people.. but... actually it's soo much easier.

I don't mind my own company so there were plenty of times when i just took my car and drove off to a beach and hung out on my own as well.

The best thing about being on your own is that you don't have to deal with friends wanting to go home early and you can go out and stay out as long as you like (welll with the closing hours not as late as before, but you get my point ;))

hey choc, i went once on my own...had a brill time!aslong as your willing to make a little bit of an effort with people you'll be fine.Everyones so friendly out there, im sure you will have no trouble meeting people. As sad as it sounds its sometimes quite nice to be on your tod, you can do your own thing without worrying about everyone else. Like beatpusher said, be a tad careful, its like anyplace, there will always be idiots!hope this helped x
 
I've never done it myself, but every year this forum has a fresh batch of go-it-aloners and every year they report back that they had a wicked time and made loads of new friends. In a way going it alone could be a blessing cause 1. you're forced to socialise a bit more and 2. you don't have your partner/mates stopping you doing exactly what you want to do.
 
I usually go alone and it gets better every time.

I'll be doing it again next week. :)

no stigma attached to it in Ibiza at all. have a hunt around the meet up threads (watch out for a lad called wayne tho)

I didn't know that there were so many people going on their own, and having such a great time. I think I will book my trip soon!

Word. I booked up myself last year and met up with 2 Spotlighters and had a wicked holiday!
 
Been to Ibiza once with friends and alone twice, and going twice this year (on my own). I love the freedom and like many have said, you're not alone for long (unless you want to be!).

As a girl, I've never felt unsafe on my own, although I'm pretty street-wise am aware of what's going on around me most of the time ;) and do take a bit of care not to get into any "dangerous" situations.

The only times i have felt a little lonely out there is when I'm somewhere i know my friends (who can never afford to come out with me) would love, or when a tune comes on that has a history with me and good friends... that's when i miss them and I wish they were there. But there are always new friends around.

It's great and you'll be fine. This board is good too... I've met quite a few people off here and most of them are ok! :) :) :)

Go for it!! You won't be alone. I can't ever imagine a time in Ibiza when I was alone when out clubbing.

I've gone to a beach on my own or eaten on my own, but that's because I chose to( and it's nice to as well!)
 
I will be there from 15-29th August if anyone wants to meet up please let me know!

i am also looking for a flatmate during that time, rent is VERY reasonable for Ibiza and i have a modern apartment secured already and a car ready to go :)

hope to hear from anyone , pretty easy going person here..

i flew over one year myself, knowing that a group of my mates were there but i ended up haging about with completely different people and crashing on the beach during the day! was ace.
 
i went last year on my own for the 1st time had one of my best ever trips going back on my own again this august cant wait. it is so much easier having nobody to answer to and you meet some amazing people
