All kicking off in the office!

I handed my notice in this morning...it's all kicking off so I'm hiding in the bunker. :? :? :? 8O

The boss just took me into the board room (for the third time today) and gave me a big violent shake!!! 8O :lol:

"C'mon Rob, stick with me! Please! Just for six months! Be a part of the jigsaw, I promise I'll deliver...etc etc"

He's clearly sh*tting bricks because we also just got this rather strange (and verging on manic depressive) 'team building' email:

Right:

First up:

Rob is staying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second up:

We will not be defeated and will not be distracted in our quest to the number one new biz agency.

We will work as a team.

We will work hard and play hard.

We will have a strategy that we all buy in to.

We (I) will keep our promise.

We will not let our clients down because we don't let each other down.

We will monitor our progress and the acheivement of our goals will be rewarded.

We will move out of this office and have an environment that reflects our personality - sexy and vibrant.

Next steps:

Lets have dinner this week or next week. Jenny can you find out when everyone is free and book a restaurant - does everyone like Chinese and karaoke?

And more importantly what are you going to sing at karoake :lol:
 
We do office karaoke outings every 3-6 months.... they're embarassingly fun :lol:

(I'm usually a very reluctant participant but then end up singing a lot once dragged there :lol:)
 
I'm hoping to sing Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights! :lol:

Failing that, Dolly Parton & whateverhisnameis - Islands in the stream. :lol:

I like Chinese food though. :D
 
god, karaoke would be my worst nightmare 8O I can't sing to save my life!

I love how that email is a bit like what you might find in someone's email account in the days leading up to their suicide.

'tried to save the firm but I can't, people hate me, people don't trust me, our mission is ruined, sorry, goodbye, I love you mum'
 
I've never done karaoke either but it's on my list of 'to dos before I die'...

Having conquered vertigo with the parachute jump/glacier walk/harbour bridge climb and claustraphobia with my deep sea diving missions I think it may be time.

The original plan was to go on a coach trip to a remote town with one gay pub with a karaoke night on Saturdays, do a quick star turn and march my entourage out of the door onto a train back to London never to return again. :lol:

...but maybe this is a better option. :?

American companies would never write sexy in their emails! 8O :lol:

I agree with you. I work for an american company. We must sign such a "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics". I think the most pages are in the part "Sexual and Other Forms of Harassment". If you read this you think it is forbidden to give somebody a smile 8O everything is forbidden !
