You probably all have seen this and its probably just scare mongering - but I was worried for you all on NYE

Transportation: London Underground 24-hour strike planned from noon Dec. 31; anticipate severe transportation disruptions.
This alert affects London.
This alert began 22 Dec 2005 15:10 GMT and is scheduled to expire 01 Jan 2006 23:59 GMT.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union of the London Underground (Tube) announced Dec. 22 they would stage a 24-hour strike starting at 1200 Dec. 31. Another 24-hour strike has also been approved to start at 1830 Jan. 8.

RMT workers are protesting planned job cuts of station staff and changes to working hours and job roles.

Should the strikes occur as planned, expect massive transportation disruptions. New Year's Eve is typically the busiest period on the London Underground, which traditionally runs all night long (with no fare charged from 2345 until 0430). Severe traffic congestion is highly likely in the greater London metropolitan area. All modes of public transport will be extremely crowded and taxis will be in high demand. Confirm rental car reservations in advance; allow additional time to reach destinations.

Previous 24-hour tube strikes have paralyzed transportation in London.

Has it been confirmed yet Pups, I know they were voting about it today.

We'll be alright cos we probably wouldn't be using tubes on NYE but they're are such (unts, they threaten to do this every year
