ah, Sat nights in Britain today...

Same here unfortunately, society we live in today is not good, bring back the good old days of innocence i say.

Personally im with The Chap on this one, hunt down these rotten chavs and rid society of this menace and bring back traditional values and morals.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

<H2>WHAT IS THE CHAP?
officer-small.jpg

The Chap takes a wry look at the modern world through the steamed-up monocle of a more refined age, occasionally getting its sock suspenders into a twist at the unspeakable vulgarity of the twenty-first century.
Since 1999, the Chap has been championing the rights of that increasingly marginalised and discredited species of Englishman - the gentleman. The Chap believes that a society without courteous behaviour and proper headwear is a society on the brink of moral and sartorial collapse, and it seeks to reinstate such outmoded but indispensable gestures as hat doffing, giving up one's seat to a lady and regularly using a trouser press.

I might be being rather dumb here but have a question.....

Are other countries this bad? Maybe posters from other countris could enlighten me. I know they get bad football trouble in Italy amongst other places.

I have been on stag do's & weekends away to all the usual places and never seen any trouble, but appreciate that could be just coincidence.

Russians are certainly not above the occasional bar fight, especially out in your less comopolitan areas. And in poorer areas/cities you'll have people out on the streets drinking (river embankments, parks, places like that), though new laws might put a lid on that. And, of course, alcohol-related accidents/incidents are one of the top causes of death for men in the country.

BUT, I will say that I've never seen those kinds of street scenes in any of the towns I've been to. Doesn't mean they couldn't happen, just haven't seen them.

Never saw scenes like that in the States either... but again, it's all about which neighborhoods you frequent. Doesn't mean that it doesn't exist (though I suppose if it were prevalant, you'd see more about it in the media). Of course, there are different anti-social behavior issues in the US :?

Leaving football aside, but for the most part it's really only the UK and Ireland who have the "binge drinking mentality" and with that a lot of the time comes the violence unfortunately, we may slag other countries for being pussys for not drinking like we do,but then again they don't behave like some yobs you see in any town in the UK or here on a Saturday nite, ive not really seen it anywhere apart from here and in the UK either.

I blame the weather.

And:

taxes
simon cowell
Jordan and Peter Andre
gangsta rap
crap policing
crap justice system
The Star
mopeds
crap TV
crap families

Not true at all. Americans binge drink as well (perhaps not so extreme about it though ). Russians drink very heavily but I think they hold thier liquor better

I'm sure they do but i doubt any other country binge drinks like they do here and to to a lesser extent the UK,not a case of holding your drink as many can it's a case of going overboard.

You misunderstand me. I'm saying they go more overboard in Russia. And it's 100ml vodka shots not a few pints. And they hold it better. I guess I'm saying they binge more and make you look like wimps ;)

Alot of countries binge drink far more than us. The difference is only in the numbers of people we have going out which is relatively far greater, thus increasing scenes like this. Not sure about the pecentages but it is the minority in any country, just our minority is a larger amount. How this compares relatively would be the true test. Out of around 50,000 revellers who come to Bournemouth in one bank holiday weekend, only 6 arrests are made. 5,000 Bognor Regis bank holiday drinkers, only 4 arrests.

Clips like these are deceptive. You think about boys that went out in the 70's and early 80's and just fought each other for the crack then we have a much better society today. I'm far more worried about 11 year olds with blades.
