I finally fled San Antonio as it was invaded by a tonne of fire engines and planes dousing a massive fire on the hill just behind the Mercadona by the Bus Station .... across the island's chaotic August roads full of irate lunatics .... to find a safe refuge from the madness.

Sven was spinning vinyl right by the sea when I arrived and he played from 4pm till close just after 11pm.

It was pure class all the way. The place is beautiful couldn't get a more perfect spot on a hot Summer's day and the sea was like a mill pond (yeah, had a quick swim !). Decent food on tap and sun-loungers too - but dancing too much to lie around on those. To be perfectly honest it couldn't have been more perfect for the occasion. Hats off to the Cocoon crew and Sven because only the pros can put on a class party like that after destroying Amnesia on a Monday night :cool:.

Great to see Stivi and some of the the Spotlight crew there (and at Cocoon last night) and to meet a load of people. JB2008 was a real pleasure to meet you and your girlfriend, hope you enjoy the rest of your stay :D.

I wish this had been a week earlier, It was a 5 min walk max from our rental house.

Is that all they did ? :lol::lol: ... don't think the handful of seasoned degenerates in s'Argamassa would have made too much difference to the numbers at Privi :spank: !!! I'd have gone had I not enjoyed their set from behind the screens at The Social so much to be honest - purely personally, the whole spectacle and light show thing after a party like that wasn't quite what I was in the mood for by then :oops: and I think bedroom parties were on the minds of most people instead :lol:.

Likewise @kimajy - it's always special when the forum turns into real life, especially at a party like that! One of my favorite carry-ons from recent memory, especially for the crowd and vibe. In the words of the papa himself that afternoon felt like a throwback to 10-15 yrs ago.

As I type this am home recovering with a glass of hierbas while sifting through insta videos...

It was a sesh full of great musical moments but my favorite from the day had to be this one, played about an hour before sunset as the light changed tone:


Also got the tingles during The Lattice by Dundov, which came a few minutes later in the same block of tracks.
 
Ugh that Cocoon afters is exactly what I'm looking for.

Stivi, can you tell Sven to plan another one of those to coincide with my holiday? :D

The Lattice is great. Remember Mano playing it last year at Afterlife as well.

Yup, it's carry ons like that which remind you that no matter how much the commercial conveyor-belt expands there are those who will keep the real Ibiza spirit alive and well no matter what. Sven and the Cocoon team really are legends and for me he is the real King of Ibiza right now :twisted:. The atmosphere really was a throwback in the best possible way with tonnes of recent tracks keeping things contemporary.

Ascend Descend was a very special drop after the funkier vibe earlier, thanks for spotting !!! For some reason the track link won't play over here hopefully this one will :)


The Lattice was also just perfect in those moments. The final 13 minute track of the night was also a great way to end a perfect party :cool:.


Special memories to cherish which will last a lifetime. See you at the next one :twisted:
 
Any idea where the after party for Music On Aug 25 will be? El patio or Cova Santa? Trying to plan my trip ahead of time.
