Advice please girlies

It's my works xmas do on Friday and I have nothing to wear (I know women say this all the time but I have literally been able to afford to buy 2 items of new clothing in a whole year 8O :cry: ) I have a bit of spare cash now, but it's been so long since I've been out, I have no idea wot to go for

Help pleaseeeeeeeee
 
I don't know what you normally like to wear SK but in the shops at the moment there's lots of pencil skirts (I don't personally like them cos I can't do the ladieeee look but on the right person with heels and a nice top you can go for the sexy ladieeee look :lol: )

If it's not so smart skinny jeans are everywhere (try Top Shop's cos they're only £30-£40 a pop) and team with a dressy top and flats.

The 60s look is popular, lots of stripey tops/dresses, either with skinny jeans or leggings and mini-skirts.

There's still a lot of 80s stuff around - puffball skirts/dresses (altho this season they're calling them tulip skirts :lol: )

Or a lot of the shops are going back to more traditional party clothes, little black dresses and stuff like that which I personally can't stand but they're everywhere this season cos girlies are dressing up more ladieeee-like.

Have a browse on www.topshop.co.uk, they've got loads of ideas on there.

Lol @ you embracing the lingo Nath :lol: ;) I hate LBDs, they just say to me that the person hasn't got any style of their own and gone for the sheep look but what do I know :lol:

N8 hun, a lbd is all well an good, but I wanna be able to go strut my stuff after the bash, an I cant exactly do that all trussed up like a turkey lol.

Was supposed to be black tie, but that was cancelled in favour of a local dinner and piss up.

I'm thinking skinny jeans and killer heeled boots with a top that leves little to the imagination ;)

Will go see wot top shop have tomorrow
 
Ah, i think i had the image of a dressy-uppy posh works party in mind, i'll get my coat :lol: :oops:

I don't get a works party (my company 'only' has a turnover of about $15 billion, they obviously can't afford it :roll: :evil: ) so i'm going along on a mates that she's running for her business.....and as it's in London this Sat and finishes at The End (and hopefully Turnmills ;) ) i'm not complaining 8) :lol:
 
i'd have a look at www.asos.com chick - got some really lovely things on there! Just treated myself to a Sienna style dress!! Also can't beat Ebay if you want something a little bit different!!! :D Enjoy it!!! :D
 
What about going all sparkly like you did for your b'day last year? means you dont have to buy anything, you could wear it with your sexy long boots too.

You stil have your ears peirced dont you?

Only trouble with ebay is the time its takes for the deliveries and she's going out friday ;)

I've bought a few things from ASOS though, very good site.

TK Maxx is good for designer stuff and its quite cheap too.

Ooh and the lucky lady lives in Birmingham anyway so should have no trouble getting anything!!! :D :D :D

I may just have to make a trip to Birmingham on Sat!

Hah! You know me so well!!!! I ended up wearing the same outfit lol.

Had a crap night anyway lol, my work lot wouldnt know a party if it jumped up an hit em in the face! They ate the meal an went home 8O

Am gonna ave to ave a blowout nearer xmas with mi own mates.
 
was in uk twice this autumn and see the fashion is the same as in dk at the mo´- pencilskirts and so on. I like pearls, black dresses and the laydee like look - a la hitchcock women of the 50´s - 60´s....

but if u havent bought anything for ages, go for a nice apir of jeans as these can be used on an everyday basis as well as for dressing up with a nice top, and good accessories. good luck!

Im really surprised at them going home, i thought agency people were really lively and stuff :?, never mind, as you say you have other times nearer to xmas.
