Advice on jobs

I want to work for one of the big clubs in Ibiza (I already have one interview next week). I´ve heard some people say it´s a bad idea to go in person as it pisses people off!, other people say it´s OK, or is is best to go around a few bars and get your face known first and do it that way. What´s the score, and what´s the best approach to take?

when the big clubs advertise for staff in the newspapers here they always ask for cv´s to be taken in person. at this moment amnesia has a big sign pointing to their office for would be workers.
