Above Freezing!!

It's +1 C in Moscow right now, the first time the temperature has risen above freezing since mid-January :D :D :D

Thank you all for bearing with me as I survived my 5th Moscow winter. Sorry if I've been a bit grouchy at times ;)

One the downside, the city is now turning into one big dirty pool of slush

and it's that time of year when chunks of ice and/or snow begin falling off buildings. I've already seen one parked car take a direct hit

Rant over. As you were.

ibiza had wall to wall sunshine yesterday at a lovely 22 degrees. i spent most of the day in the garden and had all the doors to the house open with a fresh breeze wafting through. when it got chilly at night i got a roaring blaze going in the log fire and we all snuggled round a bottle of red wine and a roast chicken dinner.

my poor wife was in snowy england!

Same here, not 22 but 20 degrees yesterday 8)

Lucky you. Glasgow came to an absolute standstill from 11pm on Saturday. Never seen so much snow before and got stranded at a mate's in the southside. Apparently 3000 clubbers got stranded in town so had to kip in the clubs themselves. 8O

Clara - saw the reports on Sky yesterday about the snow up north there... we had snow yesterday too but not quite that bad!

Stephen - so are we going to get a photo update of progress on the garden soon?

You moving to New York, Grego?

yeah i'd love to do so, best city in the world, makes me happy just thinkin about it.

sorry about my insolence:lol: , thats just my usual response whenever conversation is about the weather:x

We're talking about something grander than the weather here, Grego. It's about survival. It's about man's ability (with the aid of centrally heated housing) to survive the harshest conditions. To make it through 2 months of freezing temperatures in the harsh Moscow climate. For 3000 clubbers to fight their way home through drifts of snow in Glasgow. For Stephen to battle the elements to work on that garden. For Naddyz to brave that light chilly wind to go to the office. For Anja, in her moonboots, to keep on looking sexy despite the weather.

What we're talking about here, Greg, my friend, is the human spirit!
