A warning to anybody travelling abroad this summer!

Aww man, I didn't see this on Tuesday. I read your story, and after what has been a pretty good day, I was absolutely gutted (actually felt an empty stomach!) by your story, especially after the bit about your girlfriend having a shitty year. Thankfully theres a happy ending, but it still doesn't address your loss of cash. I think it's absolutely disgraceful that Common Sense cannot prevail in these situations.

I'd have fired off an email to your local Paper or your MP about it, I wonder how many others are getting turned away like this, and incentives? they let people on planes with f***ing bombs in their shoes. have you ever seen those expose stories in sunday papers about people strolling past security up to planes etc.??

PS. Before you fly out, please place a large bag of DOG SH!TE on said Passport Clerks Desk, and tell them thats their deserved incentive for being such a pedantic jobsworth B!TCH!!!

I just read your story to my office, everyone is absolutely raging for you! I'm quite sure that'd be everyone elses reaction too.
