A trip down memory lane....

We used to sing a hymn at school called "Lord of the Dance". It goes like this:

Dance then, wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he
And I'll lead you all wherever you may
And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.

But I used to sing, "I am the Lord of the Dance Settee"...I thought Jesus had some kind of dancing sofa.

OMG8O That is well scary, I did exactly the same

Didn't you know Jesus works at DFS:lol:

just trying to think of another Hymm, was this one

O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him

That's from "Oh Come All ye Faithful", which is a carol - a subsection of the hymn genre.

My favourite hymn is probably "Thine Be the Glory". I think that one gets sung at Easter. Or Eggs Day as the "PC Brigade" might say.

I sing this hymm in my head when I am trying not to cry  (actually why have I got so many hymms in my head :? I am not even one tiny bit religious)

Kum Bah Ya my Lord Kum Bah Ya

Songs stick in your memory don't they, especially if you learnt them by heart when you were young.

Me and Ray-Lo can still sing our school hymn:

Glory be to God the Father, maker of the world so good
Giver of the joys of sunlight, birdsong flowers and shady wood
Glooooory, Glory be to God!

Now and ever may we praise him, for his powers so vast
To the vision of his splendour, ever holding fast!

OK, I think I'd better shut up now before they take me away to the nunnery (not the porn one Jon).
