We used to sing a hymn at school called "Lord of the Dance". It goes like this:
Dance then, wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he
And I'll lead you all wherever you may
And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.
But I used to sing, "I am the Lord of the Dance Settee"...I thought Jesus had some kind of dancing sofa.![]()

i used to love assembly and all the songs we used to sing, admittedly I was fooling around at every given opportunity
as for getting words wrong as a kid I still manage it on a regular occurrence now days. I did however continually used to call my brother Shamie instead of Jamie. He lovingly replied my beating me in front of his freinds![]()
I'm a big fan of hymns, coming from a Vicar's family.![]()
Not a hymn, but a friend of mine used to sing the words from "Every Time you Go Away" by Paul Young as follows: "Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you".![]()
