A Scottish couples 2 weeks in Ibiza 2nd-16th sept (Photos too!)

Brilliant posts and photos. Just wishing I was back :(

Is there anywhere else in the world that gives you the feeling Ibiza gives you!? I don't think so.

Good work!

No mention of swedgers though!

Didn't want to go into the whole "we don't do drugs" malark at the beginning lol
Iv never done them and don't ever plan to..

R used to take stuff.. then last year his best friend ended up in a coma with 5% chance of living, on a life support machine, after taking 5 eccies, one being those dodgy green rolex's which were going around at the time. R didn't think they would be allowed in to see him but I told him if hes that close to death you will be allowed in so I made him go. I think seeing his best friend in that state shook him up a bit. Good news though his friend did pull through although he does have sight problems and a slight bit of short term memory loss. So R and his friends don't see the point risking it now.. each to their own :)

Glad he pulled through.

And fair enough of course! I just love the word 'swedgers'.:D

Thursday 10th September - CREAM! :p

Once again.. got up and it was cloudy lol (you will be sick reading "cloudy again") The sun was trying to peak out though!
We got ready and walked down to the west end around 11:30am, I wanted to show R I had found the Skinny Kitchen for something different to eat in the morning. Its a lovely little place even though its in the west end although those little chairs aren't very comfortable . I ordered the Chocolate Protein Pancakes and R had Steak and eggs. Have to say there were no complaints from either of us about the food and I would highly recommend it.

Went round the shops after breakfast and I bought an Ibiza Rocks hoody on sale since I was feeling the cold out at night if we weren't in a club. (Think I wore it out one night because after those few days of rain the temperature did pick up again). Bought VIP Balcony Cream tickets for that night in the Café Mambo shop :D On the walk back to the hotel we noticed someone had put fairy liquid or something in the fountains which we found quite funny.. it probably happens on a regular occasion but it was the first time we had saw it like that lol later that evening it had been emptied.

Spent the afternoon at the pool then got ready and headed to Sol Y Sombre round the bay for dinner. Found this place on facebook before we left, quiet gardens, tables aren't close together, staff were friendly.. tranquil is a word I would use  I had the grilled chicken and R had a burger. Both were really tasty and I would recommend it for those look for a romantic meal.. don't know what it would be like in the dark at night on the grass though with the trees hanging over you, if there would be insects trying to get in your dinner o_O

Walked back through the villas, I like looking in their gardens wishing I owned one or if it looks derelict thinking what I would do to spruce it up :) Usual nap and then pre drinks while getting ready with the tunes on :p Headed out around 1am and got a taxi, we were in Amnesia for 2am. Went up to the VIP bar and met a couple we had bumped into a few nights before so got chatting to them. Above and Beyond came on.. Sun and Moon came on and the place went mental.. this was the one moment I caught on video for around 15 seconds.. get goosebumps just thinking about it haha! I was going back and forth between the two rooms, R was too busy drinking with the husband of the other couple lol. 4am came and we were both standing with a good view of the dance floor, hands in the air, loving life. All of a sudden R falls into the guy beside us, how it even happened I don't know because we were standing in one spot lol Thankfully the guy just gave us a dirty look then turned his back on us. I hate when other people are that drunk falling into you so I was like "home time" lol But this wasn't to be the end for R..

We made our way downstairs and ofcourse a "TUNE!!" came on. I said to R that I would get him outside after that song, by this point he was dancing with randoms as you do. So outside I went, stood talking to random people as they walked past, a Scottish girl ended up at my feet rolling around being sick with her friends going on about how she shouldn't have taken that stuff lol anyways I gave her the last of my water (good deed done). 20 mins later I gets a text from him asking why I hadn't came back from the toilet :spank: after I replied that I had been outside for almost half an hour now, he came stumbling out with the usual "babe why didn't you say you were leaving?" chat and I escorted him to the taxi rank lol. Ended up in a taxi with a guy completely off his face who just ignored R and continuously asked if I had any "gear" He paid for the taxi so we weren't too bothered lol We walked back to the hotel along the beach front, warning those who had taken the bait when it came to drunk lads being led away by prostitutes lol. No after club snack on this occasion but it was a good night. Don't seem to have any photos from that night.

Great read - keep it going ! You did very well to stay motivated through that weather in the daytime - think I'd have wound up holed in a room sleeping all day and out every night !

Formentera lived up to expectations. Clear beach, clear water.. stunning! We sat our stuff down and went in the sea with our GoPro and took some good photos in the water. It was so stunning like we were on a tropical island.
My fairytale came to an end when a big tanker boat came in and brought jellyfish in the waves :( I only noticed when I went a walk along the beach and noticed one and then all of a sudden I kept noticing more and more.

 ... if you're at Illetes you can always try the other side of the spit if you get jellyfish one side ;). If you don't want to do scooters, try renting an electric bike next time. Much cheaper than a buggy, effortless cycling still healthy and can get around easy just remember sunglasses because on the dirt roads the cars and scooters throw up a lot of dust.

100 Euros for 24hrs plus 200 Euro refundable deposit.

This is when total disaster struck. We got stuck in a storm. The rain was POURING down.. bearing in mind our buggy doesn't have sides or a windscreen. The rain got heavier, we ended up on a main road but no one was really out driving apart from us idiots :spank:. The map ended up soaking and ripped in half. We were red raw with the rain battering against us, R was trying to drive as fast and as safe as he could to get out of it but we had no idea where we were heading and the clouds were black. After about 30 mins we could see San Antonio so at least we knew we were nearly there. Everything was soaked, we were drenched, the bag was soaked. But the main thing is we couldn't stop laughing at ourselves lol :p. We got back at 6pm and just took the buggy back to Emove then, we had had enough of an adventure in that thing . Would we do the buggy again.. Yes probably..

WTBF ? What a rip-off - you could rent an open-top Jimny for the day in August for that - or at least 4 days' car rental in September !

Not being mean but actually laughing out loud at the thought of you both enduring that journey home - would make such a brilliant sequence in a comedy short flick of a 'holiday in the sun that wasn't'. Brain already swimming with who could be cast in the roles .

PS that protein pancakes pic is making be hungry  :D

It was getting to that point! lol

Don't know why we didn't bother getting bikes or that on Formentera but would certainly do that next time.

The day in the buggy.. I wish I had just got the go pro out and filmed it  but I was trying hard to keep the bag as dry as I could because I didn't want our phones getting soaked lol a towel was at the bottom of the bag and that was soaked because the water at the bottom of the buggy seeping in and then I had a towel at the top of the bag because the top was just getting soaked with the rain lol we both said that was one of the funniest days we have ever had together which I suppose is the main thing :p

Friday 11th September - Surfhouse and Relish

So after R's drunken antics the at Cream the night before, he was feeling a bit rough lol. At 10am I got up and left him for the pool. I was the first one at the pool and had it allllll to myself for at least 30 minutes which was bliss :) Once people started to come down to the pool I got talking to some girls (who were clearly still drunk), one had her phone nicked that night while in Kilties on the west end.. they were taking a selfie and while posing for the photo someone went into her bag and stole her phone! She was heading to the police station to report it for her insurance.

When the pool bar opened I ordered a cheese toasty and then a big group of irish stags arrived.. they started talking random sh*t to me but I wasn't in the mood so as soon as I had finished my toasty I headed back up to the room, proud of my 30 lengths of the pool and taking the stairs to the 4th floor instead of the lift ;) I had been trying to use the stairs most of the holiday as a mini daily workout haha! R hadn't even realised how long I had been gone for and I made him get up as I wasn't wasting a nice day (YES the sun was out/partly for a change!)

Dragged him to the beach, went in the sea, then he started complaining about the sand :spank: So I suggested we try Surfhouse next to Ocean Beach Club. Huge comfy cabana beds for a 20 euro each minimum spend on food and drink which we thought was really good! We had the pool to ourselves for most of the day, dipping in and out as we pleased. We had an umbrella which could be moved around so we had half of our big bed in the sun and half in the shade. We had Kopparbergs, portions of chicken strips and R had a burger which we shared the chips. All brought to our bed and the waitress came over when she saw our drinks empty to ask if we wanted any more. Around 4pm though the place was packed! And they were all drinking a green cocktail.. I asked the waitress what this was but she said it was because they came off a "booze cruise" it was a cocktail made for all of them in their package. We left at 4:30pm and headed back to the room to sunbathe on the balcony for a bit.

Quick nap then got ready and out for 8:30pm, we jumped in a taxi to Relish in the bay. All I have to say is wow! :D The setting, looking over the bay.. we hadn't booked a table yet managed to get one right at the front with no one blocking the view :p. 3 courses was 15.95 euros and every bit of it was delicious. We were even sat next to Jordan and Megan from Ex on the Beach which if you are a fan it was quite cool.. I know most of yous aren't but who cares its my review  lol

Walked round towards San Antonio, stopped in Donnegans Irish bar for a cocktail jug then to the mini golf place where we had some more drinks along with a few games of pool. We headed back to the room for 1:30am, my sister was arriving the next morning so we wanted to be up at a decent time.

Saturday 12th September - Sister Arrived!

Got up at 9:30am, sun was out again WOOHOOOO :D:D:D R joined me at the pool for some lengths, again being the only ones there.. no music on yet.. bliss. Once people started to come down to the pool we headed over to the bar across the road for some breakfast and so that we could catch my sister and her friend arriving.. We will call them EC (my sister) and ER (her friend). We hadn't even ordered food yet when they arrived. I ran over and gave them my room key, I had already asked reception if they could put them on the same floor as us and they even managed to give them the room next door but it wouldn't be ready until 1pm so they just flung their stuff in our room and came across to the bar. We decided to head to surfhouse since we had enjoyed it so much the day before. We decided not to bother with the beds and sat on the chairs instead which had no minimum spend. We ordered drinks and were splashing around in the pool, talking about our holiday antics when a big black cloud appeared.. (BTW poor R stuck with 3 girls haha!)

When our drinks came the rain began.. we moved the umbrellas so that we were under them and just sat enjoying our cocktails in the rain lol R decided he wanted to try the surfing so he done that while we laughed at him getting angry at himself each time he fell

Around 2pm.. still raining, we headed back to the room so that EC and ER could sort out their stuff in their own room. R and I decided to fling on some dry clothes and head to Libertys in the bay for some food and alcohol. Good food again and we left a bit tipsy from our jugs of cocktail. It was raining again! So we just headed back to the room and went for a nap before pre drinking with the two E's. The rain just continued so we just sat in the room all night playing card games and watching the lightening from the balcony. A lot of people seemed to be doing the same, not wanting to head out in the rain and hoping it would go off. At 1am it stopped and we headed for the west end. The PR from Traffik got us again and we sat outside with a drink deal.. We ended up coming up with a game to play where if a Looky Looky guy came up to our table asking if we wanted to buy stuff we would all at the same time lift our drink and say "no thanks" and take a drink :) As you can imagine.. the drinks didn't last long with the amount of times this happened

The two lightweights sorry.. EC and ER decided at 3:30am that they were too tired so got a burger king and headed back to the hotel.
