And of course....our favourite bit of action this past few days.
The billboards went up.
Now, we know that no-one likes to have their artwork criticised.
And ViCe wouldn't dream of sparking a storm
amongst loyal promoter friends and family.
But there are a few unanswered questions to be addressed.
Again, stick your thoughts on to that postcard and maybe I'd end up
with enough roach to last me into August.
1. Why have Amnesia stuck an exploding volcano onto their Opening Party poster?
Do they want everyone's flights to get cancelled again?
2. Why have Swedish House Mafia stolen the font, colours, name and design
for their not very cleverly themed Masquerade Motel artwork?
Hell their first billboard is right outside where the Manumission Motel actually stood.
Tribute? Or just plain lazy?
3. Are Cocoon subliminally telling us that they have a better time in the booth,
with their rather exclusive images this season?
Look at us, we're the Party Animals, you're at the Zoo maybe?
It's all a bit ambiguous and slightly snobby, Vice feels.
Not what we'd expect from them at all.
4. Do Pacha appreciate the underhanded dig that Cadenza
are making with their theme -
"Hey we might be in the poshest, most expensive club on the island,
but what the ****! We're a load of tramps like you!
Let's all be gypsies together in their snotty club!"
Love it. Love it. Love it.
5. Does anyone actually notice how detailed and lovely the We Love cartoons are?
Sod flyers, it should be blown up and stuck on walls.
Anything with PacMan and hand drawn flamingo's on it is wasted on clueless clubbers.
6. Did Cream realise just how big Paul Van Dyk's head was,
when they decided to attach him as a little cut out piece to their billboard?
It almost looks as if his head is too big even for the poster.
Strange looking man that he is.
7. What is Tiesto actually thinking about on his cheap and cheerful poster?
How much money he saved by not adding a background image?
How clever he is to have scrimped on a designer
and just Photoshopped it himself between gigs?
Deep in contemplation he may be, attractive to look at?
Not.
8. Last, and most importantly, who is that skanky tramp
chewing off Cathy Guetta's ear?
It looks like he's trying to steal her earring to buy crack.
I'm most concerned for her.
(Everything written above is complete conjecture and ruthless speculation
and iBIzA ViCe would like to emphasis that our relentless mutterings like this
are what keeps the facebook status's of the island updating ,
so keep muttering baby...keep muttering...)
