6PM Closing time

I heard that clubs will now be forced to shut at 6am? anyone know the script here or actually think this will happen. Imagine leaving a club at 6am???? Also for foam partys,water partys etc they usually start at 6am (well the main entertainment) what happens here?? relitively new to ibiza and live in scotland so anyone care to shed any light

It was being enforced at the end of last season.

Amnesia closed once for an hour or so, offered refreshments in the car park and then opened back up again :lol:

They apparently only get silly fines of a few hundred euros for breaking the rule anyway so i think you'll just have to wait and see what happens this summer.

The 6am rule started in September last year, if you do a search on the forums you'll see lots of articles about it. It's only going to apply during term-time so if you go to Ibiza in July/August you'll be fine, also it only applies Monday - Friday.

When I was there in September most clubs were enforcing it (Deep Dish Closing @ Pacha shut at 6am on the dot despite there been a club rammed full of people, La Troya Closing @ Amnesia closed about 6.30am, however WLS Closing didn't close til gone 7am on the Monday morning, also some clubs were trying to find ways and means around the new law). A search will give you more info ;)
 
the 6pm closures were pretty strictly enforced last september. it only applies during school term time so july and aug are not affected.

it is aparently to stop children being confronted by spazzed out drug fiends on they way to school, or something

The poor kids who live in Vauxhall probably have to go through that every week! 8O
 
sound people thanks for your quick responses. wish i ilived in ibiza but i couldnt leave the girlfriend on her own for ten years :)

I seem to remember Dr Mick telling me that they got fined about 200 Euros for it !

sounds like a good enough reason:?

really catch 22 for me cos i luuuuuv closing parties, la troya and also any at pacha are really special and i've got so many amazing memories:D

BUT

in a couple of years (when i emigrate to eivissa), those children walking to school will be my kids and if i'm being honest, i'd prefer they didn't have to encounter spangled 'fiends' as described above so eloquently by russ
 
Cocoon Closing shut at 6am on the dot.
We all waited in the car park, then went back in at 8am, till gone 12pm !!!

It was actually a really cool break from the club, we could head back to the car and relax for a bit, then carry on later !
I'd almost prefer it if all the clubs done that !

After Cocoon/Amnesia did that were the enforcers of the law not going to close this loophole?
