I would not rank Cielo 12 spots behind Spundae-LA. As Balki Bartacomus would say "that is ridiculous". IMHO, Cielo is far better than Spundae-LA.

Supercharged in Brighton is a label and a club night, not a club. Speaking of institutions in the South East of England, where is the Concorde 2?

:D :D

Turnmills is average. The Arches is far better in both reputation and design IMO. Did Tall Paul get 10 votes?

Fabric, the End, Space, Dc10 and the Arches would be my top 5.

Amateurs. Which other ones?

Chibuku, Nodisko, Lush (I think - it's in a venue called Kelly's in Nothern Ireland) among others....

I guess they didn't set proper criteria for the DJs they polled. If you asked most folk 'what's your favourite club' and didn't specify whether they meant venue or promotion you'd cause similar confusion methinks.

So really the story should be called "Top 40 Venues + A Few Random Club Nights Just To Confuse Things Revealed - 600 brain-damaged djs polled."

Kellys is the name of the complex, it has a couple of clubs (Lush and Wild), a bar/Restaurant (Beetles), A hotel and has a Caravan Park attached as well.

No. 24 Not bad! 8)

To clarify:

I was one of the 600, and the question was merely "Please pick your choice of 3 for the World's Best Club".
No criteria was given, so I guess it could have been based on dj experiences, punter or both.
I used both and voted for my venues based on atmosphere and the experiences i've had in them, not particularly that they are aethestically the best clubs in the world, or the most well known.

It's bound to stir debate as we've all had different experiences in these places, it's personal opinion.

(for the record, I voted for The Arches at number one and CocoonClub Frankfurt and The Cross just *might* have been my other two ! :p )
