I've never denied having been there Stephen old chap. The current Mrs B and I often stay in San An (at the Catalina) and have stopped for a pint on the way through the West End on numerous occasions.

You do get a lot of try hards in San An and you are right, they do all look like each other but id say there was more posers in Ibiza Town than anywhere else.

And Drew goes to Koppas for a full English Breakfast most morning, 'cos he 'can't stomach that foreign muck' *

You may admit it, but i have an excuse - i haven't stayed in San An (which was the bay area to be precise) since 1988.

:P

I don't need an excuse muckeroo. While I wouldn't have a full night out there a couple of drinks at the start night can be ok. The cynicism-free hopeful enthusiasm of the 'yewt' can be quite refreshing!

- lack of decent sunsets

I can't really argue with the other ones but this one?? You have to be kidding! San An has the best sunsets!!

CanadaKid,

San An has the best "comercial" sunsets, but you can't compare a sunset in the stripe with the beauty of a sunset in Cala d'Hort facing Es Vedrà

I dunno about it being commercial... but I like watching the sun disappear into the horizon of the sea rather than it go behind a hill or building... guess it's each their own. But I know I would not rather be anywhere else than on the balcony at Coastline with the sun dipping away perfectly.

CanadaKid, I don't enjoy watching the sun disappearing behind a hill or a building, that's what I see everyday in here ;)
What I'm trying to say is that there's lots of spots where you can see heartbreaking sunsets. Now, if you like the whole thing of the strip it's different :D
