I'd check on the injection cause its still the same kinda thing but just taken a different way, i gues the st johns wort interfers with hormons etc?

All the above seems a bit funny when you consider that any pill you take could have anything in it and kill us yet we blindly neck them!!!

hi - y'all, can it be bought on the island?? Heading for a 10 day bender in 4 weeks time and might want to try it. May help get over the jet lag as well.

It's illegal here in NSW , apart from Queensland as its not approved by the regulatory bodies.
 
Another thing to bear in mind is that St. John's Wort IS a psychoactive drug- albeit a very mild one- I wouldn't recommend taking it in conjunction with ANY other psychoactive drug (MDMA, shrooms, LSD). You could be buying yourself a whole world of trouble. Be safe out there guys. :!:
 
Just a question on this as i live in spain and i never heard before about 5-HTP.

Where is it suposed to get this? From Natural Shops or from Pharmaceutical shops?

And i have never taken this kind of stuff. I do E sometimes and well i get after partying a little depressed because of taking E but i really never get so much depressed to take anything, but i will be going to ibiza this saturday and there i supose i will take a lot of "everything" so i though of trying 5-HTP if i can get it in spain.

So how should i take it? One before partying to try it out? Or better one after partying to sleep?

i personally plan on pre-loading with 5-htp, and vitamins (Mg especially) as well.

Makkinero, i dunno if 5-htp is available in spain or not, i know it was banned in some countries because of a contaminant that produced a rare medical illness (eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome). As far i know, its available OTC in the states.

Another good stuff is fluoxetine, but it's a phamaceutical drug, maybe you'll need a prescription in your countries to get it. It's better to load a week before and then take one after the party.

Some people complain about losing their libido when taking fluoxetine plus E. But this can be solved by taking sildenafil (Viagra, Levitra, Cialis) when you need.

How does it work,
when do I have to take it,
where can I buy it,
is it expensive,
is it narcotic

I´m sorry to overwhelm you with questions, but - as I wrote above - I don´t no this stuff (and my english is not as good to translate all your posts in the right way).

Basically as im sure i dont need to tell you....seretonin is a chemical in ur brain that pills react with....after doing pills ur natural stores are depleated... hence feeling shit comedowns etc......5HTP helps your body produce seretonin so will either make you come back up or sort ur comedown. I plan to take em before i go out too as they help u come up better...more seretonin availabe....and then after to sort comedowns. You can buy it from holland and barret its £15 for 60 but well worth it.

From what i've heard - it stops you from chewing your gums ;)

Never tried it though - so not sure if it works

Read the warnings on St Johns Wort!!!!

I affects the skin and you will burn like a crisp!!!

A friend of mine took it in Miami and has scars where he burned so badly in weird patches on his back.

It makes the skin go almost translucent - very dangerous!!
 
In reply to Conrado, in England & presumably other countries Fluoxetine (also known as PROZAC) is a prescription-only anti-depressant!! Can't believe it's available without prescription in other countries! Madness. :o

well i think the answer is clear then

To avoid comedowns in the week from pills just do loads of base and charlie to compensate.
