These weekends can be practice runs for me!!! When I was there in December I felt like the biggest scared lamb ever8O …even though I love cities it was sooooo different to what I am used to now! I remember a woman belted me with her bag as she passed me and I nearly freaked out and would have been arrested for GBH or something!  It bloody hurt!
Apparently that’s something to get used to!!!

My plan is…..something that I havent wanted to do for yonks….but somehow ended up living in Spain and not pursuing…..
I have applied to 3 Unis in London to study to be a paramedic….Im not too hopeful about getting in this year as Ive left it late but the LAS do tend to recruit quite often so I could do that option too if Im lucky….:D
Anyway…not too worried about stressing myself out with what to do….at least I know which is a friggin miracle for indecisive Louise!

It took me about 6-12 months to get used to it, I was just a simple little northern girl when I moved down here and it was all so big and scary - I didn't even know you had to stand on one side of the escalators at tube stations  Now I'm the one belting people as I barge past them  ;)

OMG that is proper exciting then, a complete change of career and something really interesting :D Fingers xd you get in at one of the Unis, otherwise you could always try and get thru clearing (do they still have that, I'm so out of touch  ) at the end of the summer - Good luck :D

Wow, good for you Lou.

Emma, I briefly worked in the bankruptcy team for the Halifax, searching for new bankrupts and freezing their accounts.

Wow a fellow bankruptcier!!!!
It can be interesting and lead to good things, but not where I am now, there is just no prospects.

I quite enjoyed it in a sick kind of way. Specially when I could release a bit of spending money to the bankrupts so they could go to Iceland to feed their poverty-stricken children. I left to go to a job in recruitment, which I hated and left after 3 weeks. Then I moved to London and started temping and ended up working for an MP and I still do a similar job 8 years on. Temping is a great way to find out what you enjoy and to get a foot in the door at a good company - you sound like you're motivated to progress so I'm sure you'll do well.

I dont know if you ever heard of the Official Receivers where the bankruptcy all starts but I used to work there and it was really interesting in some ways. Like you say in sick ways it can be quite amusing, espec when you read some reasons why people have no money ("just felt like spending") ("partner turned out to be a stripper and marriage fell apart")

Can be weird and amusing both ways!
