The Beat Goes On...
A massive thanks to Mark Ronson and New Young Pony Club for a great show on Tuesday - we've never had more people cramped onto the Bar M stage - 20 over the 2 acts! Completely worth it and another great night in a season where every show surpasses expectation.

Apologies to everyone who came down on Monday for the Kelis show which we were forced to postpone due to a series of technical difficulties. Despite that we managed to get the lady over to our aftershow in the Global Room in Pacha to see Cassette Jam and Gash DJs rock the crowd (plus Mark Ronson and NYPC).

A lot of the shows are being recorded for an upcoming Channel 4 show which will air from mid-September with performances from the likes of The View, The Enemy, CSS and Hard-Fi. Plus we will also be doing our own show featuring some of our favourite new artists that have performed this summer like The Rumble Strips, Remi Nicole and Good Shoes.

More on that as we get news, but check out T4 this weekend for a little snippet from the opening party with The View.

Next up on July 31st are the mighty Enemy, fresh from going number 1! We are so excited about this, and even more so as Tom from Kasabian kept talking them up last week. Support for this one comes from Sheffield's Harrisons and Ibiza Rocks' DJ favourite, the wonderful Rob Da Bank (who also plays the Global Room).

Get your tickets here...

Finally, the Ibiza Rocks compilation is available for pre-order here - we're delighted so many of our favourite bands got involved; keep checking the sites for some tasty previews.

See you all soon we hope.

PS: Gallery has new shots from the Kasabian and LCD Soundsystem shows!

Hard Fi and Mika Rip Up Ibiza Rocks + Streets Dates Changes
August is here already and the temperature is soaring on the White Isle, no thanks to the sizzling bands at Ibiza Rocks.
Thanks to The Enemy with one of the most explosive performances of the summer. Raw energy, stage diving, ripped Coventry FC shirts, dancing at the Global Room to Rob Da Bank at Pacha til 5AM and a sing-a-long to 'Away From Here' that you could hear at the other side of the island! Come back anytime lads.
Check out our microsite www.nme.com/ibizarocks for the full story.
Meanwhile some essential news on the first of our Streets Soundsystem gigs: the Bar M show on Monday 6th August is moving to the infamous Back Room at Manumission on Friday 10th August, where Mike and Zane been ripping it up for the past couple of years. Apologies to all for the move, but it's going to be just as blazin' and all ticket holders will get a separate email detailing all the refund and transfer details.
The Streets Soundsystem with Mike Skinner & DJ Zane Lowe on Monday 13th August goes ahead as planned though, so prepare to have your socks (or flip flop!) rocked off.
Next week also sees Mika on Tuesday 7th August. Mika blew us away with his live debut at Manumission last year and we are psyched to have him back. He's joined by the super hot songstress Remi Nicole - no doubt she'll be singing 'Go Mr Sunshine' in the sunshine, for once! Check out her indie rhymes at www.myspace.com/reminicole1.
On Wednesday Staines' very own surburban knights Hard Fi return to Ibiza Rocks after a two year break. Tickets are flying for this so get one here now while you still can: The stars of CCTV play alongside disco noiseniks Foals, who are on one of our fave labels rising up from the underground, Transgressive.
Finally, the Ibiza Rocks compilation is raring to get on your MP3 player, released on Monday 20th August. Enter two roof raising CDs of guitar anthems and four to the floor indie to get your rump shakin'. Maximo Park, The Enemy, The Fratellis, Reverend and the Makers, Pigeon Detectives, Mark Ronson, Hot Chip and The Gossip are all here, with the second disc mixed by our very own Gash DJs. Phew! Click here to see full the track listing and pre-order for less than a tenner.
See you all Balearic-bound soon and enjoy the weekend!

The Latest From The Island
Hello Everybody.

Massive thanks go out to Hard-Fi, Remi Nicole, Mika, Foals and Uncle Buck for an amazing couple of days on the white island. It was all captured for posterity by the Channel 4 cameras - the Ibiza Rocks TV series premieres on Thursday 15th September.

For one week only next week's Ibiza Rocks gig goes down on a Monday (August 13th). It's the welcome return of Mr Mike Skinner and The Streets Soundsystem along with lifelong Ibiza Rocks resident Zane Lowe. This is Mike & friends third year running in Ibiza and we can't wait - get your tickets here...

Now, there may not be an Ibiza Rocks show on Tuesday August 14th but that's not going to stop us rocking the Global Room at Pacha for one of our legendary aftershow parties. Our resident Gash DJs will be joined by LA's Mr Steve Aoki to rock Pacha from 2am until whenever.

Last time Steve played there was crowd surfing and intrepid partiers hanging from the lighting rig so don't miss out on a man who will be playing a big part in Ibiza Rocks in the future. We have a limited number of discounted tickets to get into Pacha that we will be making available to Streets gig-goers on Monday so keep 'em peeled.

If you couldn't make it to the white island this year don't despair - the Ibiza Rocks album is released on August 20th and features the very best indie dancefloor anthems from the likes of The Gossip, The Enemy, Maximo Park, Reverend & The Makers and more. Plus Gash DJs dropping amazing tracks from the likes of Justice and New Young Pony Club.

Click here to pre-order your copy for under a tenner.

Finally, The Dirty Pretty Things show (Tuesday August 21) and The Twang show (Wednesday August 22) have now been combined into one mammoth not-to-be-missed super gig. These two bands will now get together on the very same bill and rock the island to its very foundations on Tuesday August 21.

Tickets for this event will now be priced at 35 Euros (plus booking fee), but those of you with tickets for the original gig will still be able to enjoy the evening at no extra cost. If you bought tickets for the original Twang gig, you now have the option to swap to Tuesday August 21 for no additional fee or recieve a full refund (if you purchased tickets via the ibizarocks.com website). If you purchased elsewhere please contact that ticket vendor.

That's it for now - check out the blog at ibizarocks.com for the latest updates, pictures and videos from Ibiza Rocks.

See you on the island.

Ibiza Rocks Your Stereo, Venue Change For DPT and The Twang
Next Monday (August 20th) - is the day Ibiza Rocks comes home as The Ibiza Rocks Album hits the shops; CD one is packed with the very best indie dancefloor anthems from the likes of The Gossip, The Enemy, Maximo Park, Reverend & The Makers and more.

The second CD features Gash DJs dropping amazing tracks from the likes of Justice and New Young Pony Club - click here to check out the dedicated MySpace page.

Click here to order your copy - two CDs of sunkissed rock and dance anthems for under a tenner; bargain!

Now, you may have heard that this year in Ibiza the local police have been extremely strict and some of the island's most famous clubs, bars and restaurants such as DC10, Amnesia, Kanya, Mambo and Bora Bora have been subject to temporary closures or had to restrict their outdoor broadcasts.

Last Monday night it was Ibiza Rocks' turn and we were forced to pull the live performance by The Streets Soundsystem at the last minute. Ticketholders got full refunds and Zane Lowe went ahead with a storming set on the venue PA.

However, this does mean we have had to move some of the Ibiza Rocks shows to alternate venues - next week's Dirty Pretty Things/The Twang double header (Tuesday August 21st) will now take place at a Gala Nights, a licenced outdoor music venue (and former zoo!) 10 minutes from San Antonio.

There will be free buses leaving Bar M from 7pm, it'll be the same capacity, same soundsystem, same production values, same tunes and the same great atmosphere - only the location is changing.

We'll let you know venue details for the remaining shows as soon as we have them, but please rest assured that this changes nothing; no shows will be cancelled and Ibiza Will continue to rock!

Here're all the details you need for the Tuesday 21st show:

Ibiza Rocks.
Dirty Pretty Things + The Twang
Tuesday 21st August.
Free buses from Bar M from 7pm.
GALA NIGHT.
Calle Romani s/n
Can Bonet
Ses Paises
07820 San Antonio

All that remains is to say massive thanks to Steve Aoki for rocking the Global Room at Pacha - if you haven't been to one of our storming afterparties yet you owe it to yourself to check them out - click here to buy tickets.

See you on the island.

Arctic Monkeys Tomorrow, More Fratelli's Tickets Released, Vote For Bar M
So far this week we've had stunning performances from Kaiser Chiefs and Good Shoes - highlights include Ricky Kaiser surfing across the crowd before leading a mass chant of 'Ibiza Rocks!', '...Angry Mob' bringing the house down and Modular Records rocking the afterparty.

We also had We Are Scientists and Hadouken! playing the legendery Pikes Hotel (scene of Wham!'s 'Club Tropicana' video and Freddy Mercury's notorious '80s parties). Thanks to all who came down but especially We Are Scientists who paid their own tribute to the venue by covering 'Club Tropicana'!

But great as this week has been it's set to get even better. This Saturday (September 1) is the gig we've all been waiting for.

The biggest band in the UK right now are bringing their modern anthems to the white island. That's right, The Arctic Monkeys are coming to Ibiza and we can't f**king wait.

Monkeys tickets sold out months ago as you'd expect but you can still get a taste of Ibiza Rocks on September 4, as some more tickets for The Fratellis show have just been released. It's another secret location show so if you're curious to see how we follow up the Pikes Hotel click here for your tickets.

Finally, Bar M has been nominated in the Ibiza DJ Awards, if you could vote for us to win it would make us really happy. Just click here to register and cast your vote.

Don't forget the Ibiza Rocks 2007 album is out now - great tunes for great nights - click here for more info.

Keep checking ibizarocks.com for more video goodness in the coming weeks...

It's still not over. See you on the island.
