After missing Ibiza last year:( , a long long weekend is a certainty this year:) .

Checking the prices, I thought back to our first visit in 2001 (a late starter I know!) and the cost was < £400 for two of us for one week self catering in Figueretas the first week in September. The apartments were fabulous with a fantastic see view and located on the same road as Es Vive is now.

On the other hand we have never really paid huge amounts for any of our visits one week or two. Not being a cheapskate or anything just the amount of time in the hotel / apartment doesn't seem worth fancy accomodation....

For us the spending once there always goes crazy but we have never regretted a single penny spent on an Ibiza holiday:) The place has that effect.

I'm sure some of you Ibiza veterans have had some really cost effective / expensives holidays on the island?

All the Spotlight pikeys are staying at Playa Sol apartments this year because Expedia are practically giving them away! ;)

Most expensive was back in 2001 when I was 18. First time to Ibiza and got totally ripped off by the travel agent who charged us £650 each for two weeks in a flea infested hostel in the middle of the West End. No air con, shabby rooms and no fridge... it was a hell hole!

Cheapest holiday will be this year's holiday in June as I've paid about £180 for flights and 10 days in PDB 8)

Bargain!

Cheapest was in 1997 when I got a week all in at the Florida in San An for £158 (including flights and transfers). I took £350 spending money with me and came back with 20 quid!

Dearest was last year because although flight and week's stay in a good quality hotel cost me £350, I took £1000 spending money with me and came back with about....£20

This year is dearer because I'm having to go later in the season, but it's still costing me well under £400 for the week, and I'm planning to take about £1300 with me.

My internal calculator seems to stop working when in Ibiza..:? :? :?

Cheapest was a package deal back in '99 think it cost us about £250 each and we took about £800 spending between us.

I think the most expensive was a villa holiday in 2002 when we took 4 other people with us and they turned out to be a funking liability - wasted money left right and centre which was totally unbelievable to us as they didnt put their hand in the pockets when it came to forking out for entrance fees for clubs because we got them guestlists for everything. We ended up spending more on car hire (supposed to get it back from them when we got back - still waiting). Stupid things also, like going to the supermarket for a huge shop for us all - gave them directions to the Cyp Supermarket just outside SA, they came back with next to nothing and it came to 100€ - we were like 8O 8O - how did you manage to spend that much in and come back with 1 bag full of shopping - turns out they didnt like driving in Ibiza so stopped at the nearest shop to get the weekly shopping in - which was Whips FFS!!! So all in all, I reckon that holiday cost us a few £100 more than it should have done bailing out f**kwits.....

Funnily enough we have stayed in Playa Sol II three times! Never stayed in Playa Sol I on the other side of the road though. Always clean enough with a decent pool right on the seafront:)

My Ibiza breaks are usually very cheap cos I stay at a friend's who gets me in g-lists or takes me to private parties, his family runs a chiringuito at Salines where we usually have free meals and at the end of the day I only need to pay for my flight 8)

tienes un buen enchufe chica!!!;)

Cheapest was probably back in 96 when we went with Twentys for 2 weeks for about £200 each B&B. Best holiday ever.
The next was probably in 2002, we stayed in Central Park which was awful but was about £320 for 2 weeks, had great weather & excellent DJ's so I can't really moan.
This years will be the dearest coz we're staying at Pikes for 3 nights 8)

There's no helping some people I mean - how hard is it to find the supermarket "go past the egg, onto the motorway turn right after the go kart track" or something like that...... you can see the bloody big sign on the roof of the building.... :spank:

Cheapest (ok, not Ibiza but anyhow)

About 4 years ago in Tunisia £250 half board for a week. Hotel was a PALACE!! room was amazing - a HUGE marble platform bed, our own garden (and gardener 8O ) and every type of food in sheer abundance!!

or, any holidays to Cyprus to see in-laws. Flight to pay, few drinks and that's it!

or, any holiday to south of france. Stay in friends villa (another palace 8) ), buy food in etc - BUT at night: see below :?

Most expensive

Mykonos 3 years ago - by a mile! 8O (Ibiza is positively economical in comparison)

South Of France in the evenings i.e. Monaco, St Tropez (having said that, not as expensive as i imagined)
