"You all set for Christmas?"

I think I have said it/had it said to me about a million times to/from customers on the phone - its like a stock phrase really isnt???

Depending on the time of year the general phrases at work are usually

January
-Did you have a lovely Christmas/NY
-Were you good and did you get everything you asked for

February
-Get any Valentines cards then - ha ha ha!! ?

March/April
-You taking extra time off at Easter or just the 4 day weekend then?

May/June/July/Aug
-You going anywhere nice on your hols then (like you would deliberately
choose somewhere ****e)
-You been anywhere nice on your hols/Did you have a nice time?
-Got any white bits??? (Yawn)

September
-Are you arranging the Christmas Party this year?

October/November
-Where is the Christmas Party going to be held this year?

December
-See original thread title....

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I love Christmas - and the build up.

I've had all the missus' presents bought and wrapped since end of November - (apart from a few internet order stragglers) and I took my Mam on her annual shopping day to get her prezzies on Monday in Newcastle. We ended up in the malmaison for a meal and drinks afterwards. She now thinks I'm No1 son.

which i am. as i've only got two sisters.:p

I have been disappointed this year by christmas shopping...

Mum and Dad - cash into their bank account - cant trust the Cypriot post

Sis & Bro in Law - Euros as they are going on a punk 4 day thinging to Berlin between Chrimbo and NY

Phil - random odds and sods as he never knows what he wants

err that's it really - dull christmas shopping it has to be said......:cry::cry::cry:

I have been asked this more then enough times, as to whether I have done all my shopping, have I wrapped it all yet, what am I doing for xmas.

One colleague even 20 questioned me about what family I was seeing & the dynamics of my family tree  V.odd

Indeed I do - bless them!! I think they realised I have been a bit stressed recently as most of my presents so far are alcohol - 5 bottles of champagne , bottle of limited edition Jean Paul Gaultier - Classic perfume, £100 in rewards scheme points ..... and its only bloody Wednesday :lol::lol:

I love anything by him.

Your so lucky getting all these pressies & its not even xmas yet?!? :p

my favourite purchases this festive season thus far have been

- for my dad, a mug which stirs itself (google "self stirring mug" for a demo)
- for my brother (while ordering the toddler scotland away kit for the wee man who has developed a healthy passion for all things scottish, admirable at 2 years old) a replica of the yellow mexico 86 scotland away top, and it will be a total surprise as we hadn't arranged any transatlantic present buying this year

this made me feel festive...

just need to buy for my mother, including her birthday present for christmas eve, and for Angus the poodle

for myself, i got a new mobile contract with the k850i and my mountain bike (which i get Saturday!!), see threads passum (as Buckley might put it)
